Using off the shelf components, researchers have built an open source camera where anyone can program the features of the camera like doing automatic HDR photography, activate a certain setting when a particular lens is attached or making high quality video using high-resolution pictures.

2009 Cheese Rolling Festival

Here are some photos I took of the 2009 Cheese Rolling Festival in Whistler. It was a fun event, you see people running downhill trying to win a block of cheese. Whoever goes downhill first wins the cheese that was rolled downhill. The cheese of course is wrapped.

This is part two on my photographic process.

After making sure I’m happy with the details of the photo. I move on to adjusting the colors. As you can see from the original photo, it’s a bit dull. There’s a bluish tint which makes the photo too cool for my taste. Basically for me, it feels like there’s a thin veil of gray in front of it.
