For this momentous event, the Pakalistas of DiningCebu.com have made a list of  the best family restaurants in Cebu Philippines for a Graduation blowout.

#10 Dove Street is located in, well, #10 Dove Street! It is inside Sto. Nino Village in Banilad, Cebu City. It is small, cozy, and a really nice dining venue.

For Php 170, you can get soup, a salad, a gourmet sandwich, and a slice of whatever cake they have that day. Drinks are reasonably priced. The ambience is great, and you are served with classy utensils to boot.

Check out the Pakalistas’ tale about Dove Street!

Da Vinci’s at Marina Mall

There are lots of pizza restaurants in Cebu, and Da Vinci’s has made a name for itself. It is quite famous for pizzas with white sauces. It is indeed a must try, just so you’ll know (then wonder) how different pizza with white sauce tastes from those with red, tomato-based sauces. Like Fedge, who blogged about his Da Vinci’s experience at Marina Mall, I couldn’t tell the difference in taste! Perhaps our co-blogger Berg, the certified pizza lover, can give us a lecture on this.

Da Vinci’s has many branches in Cebu. Check them out!

La Marea at the Walk

There is something in La Marea (I.T. Park or Crossroads) that those with a sweet tooth will love – the Brownie Cup!  La Marea’s Brownie Cup is a highly recommended dessert.  There is something about the combination of the hot brownie and ice cream that is addictive.  It’s probably called sugar and chocolate but let’s just call it Special Ingredient X.

Caffeinated drinks at La Marea are okay and reasonably priced but nothing to jump up and down for.

La Marea is a great place to hang out with friends and family.  Great interiors too!  Check out the Pakalistas’ post on La Marea at their blog.

The Pakalistas endeavor to check out ALL dining places within the province of Cebu and not only those in posh places. Thus, Andok’s found its way in a blog dedicated to restaurants in Cebu. In the coming weeks, features will also be done on dining venues popular to varied members of the society. Oh, I can’t wait to blog about the Barbecue Station near USC Main – that is one place most, if not all, Carolinians should know about!

Check out Fedge and Berg’s gastronomic adventure with their friends at www.diningcebu.com.

DiningCebu.com Goes over the Mooon!

The Pakalistas decided to try Mexican food at Mooon Cafe at The Walk in I.T. Park, Lahug. The food they say was not as impressive as those served at the original restaurant in Guadalupe. Be that as it may, the one at The Walk is still a great Cebu restaurant to visit. There aren’t that many restaurants in Cebu with such lively decor. The food is okay, and the ambiance is okay too.

Check out the Pakalistas’ food choices at Mooon Cafe here.

The Pakalistas chow down some Goi Cuon, Yam Palomari, and Pad Thai. Of course, a Lemon Grass experience will not be complete without the best seller Suon Nuong (Grilled pork spareribs) and the very refreshing Citrus and Herb Lemonade.

Lemon Grass, one of the restaurants in Cebu that now occupies space at The Terraces in Ayala, serves great Thai and Vietnamese food. The Pakalistas have listed 10 reasons why you should dine at this Cebu restaurant, check them out!

There are also some nice night view shots of The Terraces at Diningcebu.com.

Pakalistas Fedge and Berg checked out Ayala Center Cebu’s newly opened The Terraces and had a great time at Sizzlin Pepper Steak, one of the newest restaurants in Cebu offering Japanese food. Based on the description though, this seems like Japanese fusion of some sort. This is definitely one Cebu restaurant we should check out.

Kopi Roti is one of the newest restaurants in Cebu. Our blog has an informative and quite unique review of this Cebu restaurant. Kopi Roti, located at The Gallery in Mabolo, Cebu City, features great tea tarik, hot barley, french toast, coffee buns, and lots of new stuff.

The Pakalistas of Cebu highly recommend this restaurant – great place to hang out with reasonable prices.
