The Philippines’ own Ronato “Ronnie” Alcano defeated Germany’s Ralf Souquet, 17 racks to 11, to win this year’s World Pool Championship held in Manila.

Aside from Alcano’s dream victory, the country has another reason to be proud — the heartwarming display of Pinoy hospitality to the foreign players, especially Mr. Souquet.
