The all out war being wage by the veinte peso house people(mala kanya) and its allied generals who are in a way humiliated by the death of 14 marines who are looking for the kidnap priest in Basilan. There was not supposed to be a war if not for the kidnap priest, but it seems the armed men (bandits) have asked for it.
The military is said to have made this war to end the terrorism in the south, that this was because of the Abu Sayyaf, I’d say STFU. And I cant believe that even the media have to buy and sell this drama.
The death of the 14 soldier in which 10 of them are physically molested is the real culprit of this war; the military have viewed the said ambush as an insult to their manhood, insult to their intelligence (intelligence fund might be questioned for lack of advance intel information from the enemy) and an insult to their intelligence because they are supposed to be brilliant and clever men from PMA.
And so this war rages on, and so is death. and then a nego (fishtalk) will be called, the bullets and howitzers will be silent and the hueys will stop flying next month or next year or I don’t know when, but sure as the man who make loves and kisses his guns in the morning instead of his wife, the sons and the widows of those whose lives are lost during this war and the wars before will again pick up the ruins and cultivate the seeds of hate caused by injustice, rained with poverty and soreness of want…this war rages on…
Somehow as planned, the military will again have the upper hand through (would you believe it) more bloods in their hand and the talks will then walk. Ceasefire will be ordered and talk again, in Oslo, in Jakarta, in Kuala, in Jeddah, and all the other junkets that will again be useless because another priest (I pray that it will be some members of the house whose a sucker of media attention) will be kidnapped… and the intelligence gathering will fail again, but this time it will be different, it will be miserable…
The on-going siege which severely affected and displaced the civilian (wherefore we can claim our own war refugees) living around Basilan wherein the government and the military reportedly have spent a staggering amount of blah blah blah and money…sorry I have no exact figure but even if I do, it still wont help because the intelligence fund are supposed to be audit free by the COA, so there you go Johnny… you can be assured that your money are spent wisely… I mean your money is spent by the wiseguy to a war that was not to be.
This opinion does not in any way try to demean the services and heroism of the privates and sergeants and lieutenants of this drama, but just to let you know this writer hates war (and love war movies) but will fight side by side with you if given the chance. But for god sake, where the fuck is the intelligence fund?
