Here we go again… in a week’s time, speculation aroused as the controversial NBN deal witness Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. allegedly went out of the country to hide, returned to the Philippines only to be snatched by government agents and then spontaneously appeared in presscon in La Salle, Greenhills. Of course, those who focused on the eventualities are exploiters, “bida” politicians and some ever-hungry media practitioners who never failed to exaggerate every detail of juicy issues.
Different sectors did have something to say about the turn of events but they just merely jump into conclusion… obviously. Without any educated assumptions, different statements poured out of their mouth as if they were in a noon time showbiz talk show. Number one on the list are opposition senators who thought Lozada will be the key to their utmost dream of unseating the President. In such excitement, irresponsible as some of them are, they have spoken of obviously baseless pronouncements just to be on the spotlight. Senate President Manuel Villar denounced the incident as Malacañang’s handiwork while Sen. Benigno Aquino III called the alleged abduction “one of the government’s most brazen acts of impunity.” On the other hand, Sen. Francis Pangilinan criticized the PNP for acting like PGMA’s mercenaries. These supposedly well-educated lawmakers jumped into their conclusions by pointing fingers at the administration, without knowing first what is really happening. Even members of the Black and White Movement held a vigil for Lozada at the Senate grounds while waiting for Lozada… probably expecting another episode similar to the assassination of Ninoy Aquino. Meanwhile, left-leaning organizations are smiling up their ass since possible occurrence in the coming weeks will be exploitable and can be brought to the streets. Bayan Muna party-list Rep. Satur Ocampo, said the present administration must put a stop to the alleged “systematic cover-up” on the NBN-ZTE deal. Ocampo should prove first if there was indeed a cover-up. With further developments, these politicians have been dumbfounded when the PNP announced that they escorted Lozada in going out of NAIA to protect him against anyone may harm him and probably against those political vultures who will do anything just to be a part of the limelight and hungry media who they thought they are immune against security procedures. For that, the PNP did the right move of covertly transporting Lozada to safety. Besides, Lozada’s kin requested the PNP to protect him so the police formulated a way to keep him out of harm’s way.
So now, what can we expect in the coming days? Of course Lozada will be sitting in the senate with lawmakers asking pretty stupid questions that is not really intended in aid of legislation, but rather, to pin down the administration so that they can hope for another people with the help of the local communists. It should be noted that Lozada is not really a witness for the alleged NBN scam, but a victim of harassment as perpetrated by Sen, Ping Lacson. It can be recalled that Lacson himself pronounced Lozada as his star witness. Little does the public know that Lacson is holding Lozada’s neck, threatening him and his family if he will not accede to what the senator wants. It is Lacson’s specialty to harass people as what his underground track record shows. So it can be assumed that what Lozada will tell in the senate hearing will be well-scripted and everything was already dictated by Lacson. The hearing will be a merry-go-round circus party intended to discredit the administration while grandstanding senators will be picking up “pogi-points” as they always do…
