That night, one of the Craven Eleven, the basketball star-turned-senator Robert Jaworkski, showed up in EDSA to express remorse for his vote, and got promptly smacked in the head by an angry horde. The military had switched sides, then-Defense Secretary Orly Mercado was already on stage arm in arm with Chavit Singson, the director Joel Lamangan had screamed himself hoarse asking his fellow artista to stand up and be counted, the crowd was in a jubilant mood with confetti, music and dancing drowning out the unbelievable stench.
