I have been wearing this white ribbon since yesterday and I will continue to wear it everyday for sixteen days as a sign of my protest against violence against women. By wearing the white ribbon, I’m joining the White Ribbon Campaign (WRC), a campaign which started in 1991 in Canada but is now being practiced every year all over the world. What is striking about the WRC is that it was actually started by a group of men who deplore acts of violence of men against women. Hmmm… it’s nice to know that there are some men who actually care about women and are even protesting against fellow men for deplorable acts.
