Just the other day I was minding my own business, wishing that there was a way for me to make comments on interesting articles in my feed reader without accessing the page of the article itself. And I never realized that this was already being provided by a new web service called Shyftr, which seems set to change the way readers interact with blogs, big time.
To answer Mark Evans’s question, Are pageviews still relevant to Bloggers?, I say, why, Hell yes! And as a blogger himself, he should’ve known the answer. I don’t claim to be the absolute authority on this, but I do believe that there are a couple of points that these big guys are missing.
True, there is added convenience in being to able to add comments on blog articles without the need to visit the article page itself, but that in turn results in fewer page views for Bloggers, and in certain cases that means fewer dollars in advertising revenue as well.
