Every year I always share my experiences whether naughty or nice. This year was a blast as I am starting to enjoy what Canada can offer.
Here are the list of what transpired in my first year of living here in Vancouver:
- I got a used 1995 Acura Integra as my first car and early Christmas gift for myself.
- I got my US visa which will be good for the next 10 years.
- My former employer Easywash gave me a chance to travel to Las Vegas for the annual Car Care Expo presented by the International Carwash Association. I attended some seminars regarding on how to increase profit in the carwashing and detailing business. I was also lucky to be flying on 1st class seats and checked-in a suite room overlooking the Sin City at The Hilton. Tried a bit of gambling but just the slot machines and I won over $300. Went on hotel hopping at the best hotels at The Strip.
- For my birthday I got myself a DSLR. Its a Canon Rebet XT which came with an 18-55mm kit lens. I also got additional lenses which are CANON EF 50 f1.8 II, SIGMA 70-300 F4-5.6
APO DG Macro and CANON EF-S 17-85 F4-5.6 IS USM.
- On the summer I went to Whistler North America’s Best Ski Resort and tried River Rafting and bungee jumping but I chickened out to try bungee.
- I had to say goodbye to Easywash who gave me lots of opportunities on my career growth here in Canada. Easywash was a wonderful company but I have to move on and try new ventures.
- I am now a part of The Kaltire Team of Branch 663 in Vancouver. My new job as Service Technician is exciting because I have to drive in different vehicles everyday. Most of them are expensive such as Porsche, Mercedes, Lamborghini, and others to name a few.
- Last Boxing day I tried to shop for great deals and I got some audio stuff for my car. I got a new Panasonic MP3/WMA deck, TMA Speakers, and Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer. Next year I’m planning to get a 52″ Plasma LCD HDTV.
