Fund-raising preview tonight of Tanghalang Pilipino’s “Himala, the musicale” (Uhm, can we drop the “e,” please? Too arch) at CCP’s Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentinto.

The show is off to Shanghai, China as the official Philippine entry to the 2007 Asian Contemporary Theater Festival. Soxie Topacio directs, with May Bayot, Isay Alvarez, Cynthia Culig-Guico, Lionel Guico, Mia Bolanos, Jay Cruz, Bong Embile, Bong Cabrera, Marjorie Lorico, Jonathan Tadioan and Chynna Roxas starring in the stage adaptation of the classic Ishmael Bernal-Nora Aunor movie. Ricky Lee himself wrote the libretto, with Vince De Jesus providing the music.
