I bought a home in Maricopa, Arizona in the fall of 2006. This city is in the greater metro area of Phoenix, Arizona. With the huge volumes of foreclosures across the United States today, many folks out there are probably regretting their decision of buying a house.
As I look back at my purchase, I ask myself if I made the right decision. Four years ago, I was expecting the housing market to collapse, but for some reason (e.g., Greenspan lowering interest rates) it never came til now. I said to myself, once the housing market in the US collapses I will be ready to buy my first home. Last fall, the US housing market first started showing signs of decline, finally signaling the end of the boom days. So I made my move, even last fall if you were careful you could find really great deals.
