This comes about a week late, but good things don’t die, and certainly not this one.

Last Monday (Sept. 25) in the Philippine Star, Butch Dalisay wrote a beautiful tribute to his late father. In my book it’s a masterpiece, not only because of its flawless language (you’d expect that from a Palanca Hall of Famer like Mr. Dalisay), but because it’s written with so much love and heart and grace. I’m not embarrassed to admit that by the end of the piece I was in tears, and had resolved to myself that, in time when I myself am summoned to honor my loved ones in a public way, the words I’d cobble together would be equal to the task.
