Every time I get the bill of meralco every month, I always  get a heart attack.  By reason of our high rates for electricity, I find it amusing to watch programs about renewable energy.  One of them is solar power.  I even bought a solar charger for my phone and it works like a charm.  Now I was wondering why until now, why these solar panels remain expensive, I am sure that given a chance that this be manufactured and mass produced by china and be placed in the market at a cheap price, a lot of people would be rushing and putting these in their roofs to lessen their electricity cost.  But why o why has this not been done? In the Philippines where skins sizzle because of the heat, this kind of technology should be welcomed!! Imagine not imagining about the cost of electricity? wow that would be the day, and I’m sure there are a lot of Filipinos waiting to buy solar panels.  We could even charge electric cars on the power generated by solar (this we can already apply with the electric jeep advertised in Makati last year.  Try to visualize, not having to pay for electricity for your home or even transportation.  That would be a very practical and wise investment.  So CHINA, can you start producing affordable solar panels for the consumers? This would sell like hotcakes, If the the Philippines has the technology, we might as well do it ourselves. So what do you think? any investor would like to mass produce these solar panels at a cheap price?
