An Animal Welfare Ally in the Philippine Senate

It’s good to know that not everyone in the Philippine Senate is fixated on the NBN ZTE scandal— which is the current hot issue prevailing politics in the orient pearl. I’m no fan of Philippine politics. But reading about a recent privilege speech (see below) by Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” F. Zubiri on a number of animal welfare issues was like a breath of fresh air in the midst of the stifling media frenzy around the controversies of corruption gripping the country. Finally, somebody up there is speaking for the animals!
