Being honest
honestly, honesty is the best policy, except where diplomacy is required. it is important to strike a balance between honesty and diplomacy.
Being there for family and friends
it is important to reach out to people and be there for them in times of need. don’t get discouraged if your gesture is not reciprocated, just keep doing what’s right.
Being tolerant
just remember all the mistakes you have made in your own life before you judge others.
Paying off your credit card
many people have no idea how virtuous you can feel if you pay more than the minimum balance each month, or how ecstatic you can be if you pay off the balance and can start spending again.
Quit smoking
only smokers and ex-smokers can understand understand why it is an underrated virtue giving up.
Being real
be yourself. spend some time working out who you are and follow that for the rest of your life. god made us all different and we can love others so much more if we can be ourselves. love yourself and enjoy it.
Being fair
life is unfair. we all know that. but that doesn’t mean we should compromise our values. we should try and be fair to everyone.
Being resilient
try and get through life developing resilience. everyone gets hurt. if you can get resilient, you feel less pain, and become less of a pain in the neck to those around you.
Being funny
if you have a good sense of humor, you can make others happy. bring a smile to someone’s faces. make them laugh.
Being good
all of our virtues boil down to simply being good. being good is an underrated virtue. well, who even thinks about it?
