Philippine Universities Drop Ranks; UP Now 398th

Last year, University of the Philippines barely managed to grab a spot in the Top 300 universities in the world according to a study conducted by Times Higher Education Supplement and QS Top Universities.
- 299 – University of the Philippines
- 392 – De La Salle University
- 484 – Ateneo de Manila University
- 500 – University of Santo Tomas
Although I’m not exactly very fond of ranking anything, I’m still disappointed in this year’s world ranking result, released early this month.

The way Educational institution manage their learning system today, we cannot see significant advancement and it will further get shoddier as time goes by. As long as owners and officers of these learning institution choose to rake profits rather than the comprehensive education of the students, the plummet of these institution will remain
it is all nothing but numbers.
