We all have seen these happen. People who were virtual unknown catapult to instant stardom beyond their wildest imaginations simply for putting out there a 2-minute or so video on YouTube. Bear in mind, YouTube was non-existent 4 years ago. Since its inception in February 2005, the way most of us ‘view’ life revolved around watching those clips, forwarding it, talking about it, blogging about it- next thing you know, the video has gone viral.
YouTube has channels for everything- comedians, directors, gurus, musicians, reporters, entertainers, politicians and the ordinary ‘Youtuber’ further subdivided into regular viewers, those who have real talent like Charice, those who don’t, those who are desperate for attention or just plain crazies.
Don’t you just hate clutter? I know I do. This is not surprising really considering how obsessive compulsive I am. I especially hate it when I get tangled up in wires and cables of all the gadgets I carry around with me. In fact, I have had to replace my mouse and earphones just because I pulled too hard on them when I tried to get them from my bag.
I have a ton of nylon cable ties that I have to cut most of the time anyway, velcro cable ties that are more expensive and get worn out eventually and I have the good old trusty rubber band. But even with that, the cables are still exposed and prone to getting tangled up with one another.
This time, I will show you how you can run Blizzard’s popular World of Warcraft MMORPG on Ubuntu Linux almost as if you are using Microsoft Windows.

Overall the brain training game has reached 30 million minutes of play time already. The availability of Brain Buddies in eight languages plays out to its advantage: It has attracted users from 208 countries, among them Albania, Rwanda, and Vanuatu, an island in the South Pacific.
“We are very happy about the extraordinary start, but are in no ways resting on our laurels”, says founder and managing director Jens Begemann. “Quite to the contrary: we are continuously working on the game and have already included a number of ideas from our users. In addition, we will be integrating four new mini games soon”.
The brain training game that was launched on July 1st is the first game of the international game development company wooga from Berlin. Currently the team is already working on completely new games that the company will publish in the next few months, building on the momentum of Brain Buddies.

You and your friend may just Win an Acer Aspire One 10″ laptop and an Acer F900 Smart Phone.
In the photo above, you’ll see the inside back part of my Nikon F3 camera where the film is put in. The roller on the right side is where the film is attached and rolled. The left side where there is a big hole with the knob pulled up is where the film canister goes in.

one of the unkewlest things an IT PINOY could do is to send emails to the wrong person/s, well survey says there are lots of people who fall into this trap.
i personally have experienced this, but some unfortunately had gone way overboard committing this mistake:
- an hr personnel (from a well-known Philippine IT company) mistakenly sent performance evaluations and ratings to everyone in the project… you wouldn’t believe how many resigned because of this!

“Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal
to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.” – Official Google Blog.
