Professing Christians claimed that they were already saved because of their faith (alone) in Christ. They were not saved by their works but by their faith alone. However, is it true that faith is enough for a man to be saved? Are the true Christians have been saved by faith alone?

I’ve been struggling for the last 24 hours.
Distressed over the possibility of a sham about to take place. Why is it that people are so deluded? Is it because thay have told so many lies that they have wrapped themselves into a cocoon of denial. It’s pathetic really. And sad.

Well, actually I am. And glad to be one at that. But this lecture delivered almost 80 years ago by Bertrand Russel, a British philosopher, writer and advocate of logicism and atomism, takes a completely opposite tack. While this piece may not go as far as convince me to abandon my beliefs, it presents some very interesting and sound arguments, sensible, logical, and devoid of the high-handedness of some more recent Atheist writers…

There is no middle ground in the Middle Eastern conflict. Both sides have suffered casualties and collateral damage, but these consist only of one extreme that pose a challenge to our political neutrality.

“Walk your talk.”
These were the three words that came to my mind immediately as soon as I read this week’s quote. Easier said than done, really. But when you are able to accomplish it,read on….
Dark times are ahead of us, yes. Escalating atrocities of war with nuclear risks. Volcanoes everywhere on the verge of eruption. Weather conditions worldwide showing no signs of abating.
Prayer is our only weapon. Every Tuesday and Friday, light a candle (blue or white) and pray the following three times:
7 Our Father’s, 7 Hail Mary’s, 1 Apostles’ Creed, 1 Hail Holy Queen.
Only few of the believers of Christ knew that the Church is also important to man for him to attain the salvation promised by Christ. They thought that what is important for their salvation is Christ alone because Christ is the only savior sent by God to save men on the day of judgment.

A recent girls’ night out set the mood for the blog entry today. I had been thinking about how to present today’s topic in a less controversial vein and last night’s conversation between seven married 40something hot mommas gave me the inspiration.
The other night, H and I were at our Biblical Portrait of Marriage of study and the topic for the evening, as I had posted last week, was one that had the audience shifting between silent seriousness and laughing in stitches.
Okay. So let’s talk about sex..More about the birds and the bees here
The verse 30 of chapter 10 of the book of John is one of the popular verses ued by Christians who believe Christ as God to back up their belief. SOme of them use this verse to prove that Christ is the Father and the Father is Christ, as if, they are one in number. Some of them also use this to prove that Christ and the Father, although different and distinct persons, but are one God.
My favorite podcast is back after weeks of inactivity.
The term church was first used by Christ during the time when he declared that He will build the church as it was written on the book of Matthew 16:18. Definitely, the Apostles who heard it from Christ knew what it means, because they didn’t questioned Christ about it. … However, Christians today although used this term (church) have different understanding on what the term Church means. Some said, it is a building used in Christian worship and the others said it is a religion or a group of believers.

Professing Christians thought that Christ died for the sins of all the people on earth. They’re even thinking that by just calling the name of Christ, repenting for their sins and accepting Christ as their personal savior is enough so that their sins will be forgiven and they will attain the salvation promised by God.

It was built by the Jesuits in 1608 as a parish church for the growing Chinese immigrants in Manila, many of whom had converted to the Catholic faith. When the Jesuits were expelled from the Philippines, the church became Dominican.
The original structure of Sta. Cruz Church was twice damaged by earthquakes; it was completely destroyed during the Battle of Manila in 1945, which totally devastated the entire city and ended the almost three-year Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this!
When people can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached toyou.
I mean hang up the phone.

This Catechism quote makes two remarkably controversial statements. Let’s look at each. First:
“Prayer cannot be reduced to the spontaneous outpouring of interior impulse:”
According to the Bible, it can! God’s Word contains thousands of examples of spontaneous outpourings… and God heard every one of them:
“I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me…” Psalm 3:4
“O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” Psalm 30:2
“In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.” Psalm 120:1
“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge
for us. Selah.” Psalm 62:8
Rather than spontaneous outpourings, Catholic prayers are an endless repetition of written words. Interestingly, Jesus forbids this method of praying, claiming it is a practice the
“heathen” perform:
“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that
they shall be heard for their much speaking.” Matthew 6:7
Are Catholics able to interpret God’s Word for themselves?
“The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the
magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion
with him.” Pg. 30, #100
Can only the pope and the leadership of the Catholic church properly interpret God’s Word? Let’s go to the Bible and see how God feels about this teaching. When Paul and Silas preached in Berea, the people

“Money and marriage can be a great blessing… and likewise a great burden. Which one is it for you?” Our pastor asked us the other night as we sat through the second part of the Biblical Portrait of Marriage series. The subject that evening was money.
Money can truly be an issue in marriage. According to financial counselors,
Ron and Judy Blue countless studies have shown that ‘money problems’ as the number-one factor in the breakup. That’s pretty scary. Obviously, arguing continue reading here to find out how money can be a blessing for you
