Grabe. Tumatanda na yata talaga ako. Hindi ko napansin, tatlong taon na pala akong nagba-blog?! Yap, 3 years na.
In the streets of old Binondo was where I, along with some of my friends and cousins, decided to walk one Sunday afternoon to rediscover one part of old Manila. But rather than let words describe what I saw, this time let me take you to a visual tour of scenes through some photos I took during our walk around some parts of Binondo, Manila.

In the middle of our last choir practice before of our performance, I made a little impromptu (okay, okay… it was quite long and drawn-out) speech to the choir. I said it mostly in Filipino, and this is more or less the translated version:
Okay guys, let’s stop for a while and please listen to me. Please turn off the TV for awhile… I know it’s the last few weeks of Lobo but you’ll find out what happens tomorrow during the Ang Nakaraan portion.

(I usually allow the television in the practice room to be turned on softly so that those who are waiting for their turn for me to teach their parts wouldn’t get so bored).
I’m going to say goodbye to you now because we might be all too busy during the National Day Reception for Honey and me to properly say goodbye to you. And don’t expect us to throw a party either. I mean… I love you guys and all that but I’m not going to wash all those plates. So I’ll do it now.

I have somehow acquired the habit of listening to Mo Twister’s program on 89.9 every morning. I find their morning banter and bashing refreshing to my often sleepy morning. It beats two cups of coffee at least. I also find their topics quite interesting and silly at times that you just cant help but listen and laugh at all the funny anecdotes that other listeners share over the radio.
I’m sure you are so excited today because it’s Beijing Olympics today! Yeah! But are you forgetting something today? Something much more important than the Beijing Olympics. Something that has more weight and will affect you and your descendants forever. It’s ASEAN Day today - August 8, 2008.
Do you know this year’s theme? I’ll tell you now: One ASEAN Identity, One ASEAN Community by 2015. ASEAN Community by 2015, do you know that it means integration of 10 South-East Asian countries? But haven’t you realized or even asked the question:
What is an ASEAN Identity? Come share your point-of-views before you glue your eyes and ears with the Olympics.
So today, the Beijing Olympics officially start. Not that I care, of course. Everybody knows that I’m a big tub of lard whose main physical activity would be the three minute walk from my bed to the computer table. To Plurk. (Speaking of Plurk, trying to keep your Plurk Karma up is an Olympic feat by itself. Kinda like trying to keep my penis up- no, wait! Fuck!) By the time I get my knees to bend, I’m a sweaty, shivering pile of pain. Which only goes to show how much I care about sports and shit like that. More »

I was born and raised in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and even though the other side of the island (Occidental) is just a bus away, I was not able to visit that part. Not until this time that I’m here in Cebu and found a supporting job, I can now manage to go somewhere else wherever I want. And I was been in Mambukal last August 2-3, 2008. It is located at Minoyan, Murcia, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. This adventure trip idea was brought by a close friend of mine who happened to be my team mate. We want to experience a different taste of nature aside from the known beach escapades. What Mambukal has to offer is what we’re looking for. And below is the itinerary of our trip:

If you’ve noticed, the frequency of my posts here have been declining in both frequency and quality. I swear I’ve been trying very hard to set aside some time to write something (remotely) substantial but it’s either I don’t have the time or my brain just won’t fucking cooperate.
Okay, maybe I haven’t reached rock bottom yet. Unlike this girl:
Heath Ledger was not the typical Joker that Jack Nicholson portrayed in his prime. Look at him..dirty, scary, smelly and gay?? listen carefully, he made Joker the biggest joke of all batman franchise especially when he wore the nurse outfit then walked out after exploding the hospital… the accent resounds as if it goes straight from Brokeback Mountain’s parody(although his voice changed when he was raised upside down as if someone else dubbed that part when he might be already dead in real life) to match Christian’s tight-lip speaking manner as if he wears false teeth if not only gums tantamount to having hare lip and speech defect.
Seriously.
But still, I think I’m going through the worst bout of writer’s block ever. I actually try to write something, but dammit, I can’t write. Not a single sentence that I can be proud of. More »
Proud eagles, sporty parrots and amazing cockatoos are just some of the unrestrained but trained birds you will see in Malagos Garden Resort. Plus Waling-Waling forest and yummy Ostrich Salpicao. Read more about it HERE.
I was just watching updates on the Olympics preps. Each comment is a gold nugget. One of the sayings they have right now is, “Olympic wins are transient, but cultural impressions last forever.” I find it amazing that they are doing everything they can to showcase their culture. They even have officials with the designated job of “manners minder.” This century is really so different. Read more…

Are we allowed to get mad at our parents? And if we are… are we allowed to stay mad at them? It would not be a normal household if children and their parents do not argue or fight with each other. Although many times during these so called fights subtle stabs at one’s guilt will be done. How often have you heard parents say to their kids: “I bore you for 9 months!….”, “I sent you to a good school…”, and from the movie Riding In Cars with Boys - “I am your mother and that means you are not allowed to stay mad at me!”.
Cebu Seo Contest, Just giving it a try. My old buddy Lhurey is having this little funfair “Cebu Seo Contest” but I think I missed this one.

The eighth day of the eighth month of the year two thousand eight is fast approaching. A lot of people are planning to hold their grand events, like weddings, on the very day. Of course, there are other ways of marking day 08-08-08, or just the month 08-08.
One is to start something great like investing. And, I don’t just mean investing your money in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, business, etc. I also mean investing in yourself, like pampering your thirst for knowledge and accomplishment by attending trainings and seminars.

I totally hate the MRT. I really do. Okay, I appreciate the fact that it’s the quickest and cheapest way to go through EDSA. And if not for the MRT I’d probably be stuck in traffic every morning, cursing the high heavens for it. And probably commit homicide or something.

But sometimes, the MRT is just hellish.

Anyway, once I got to the MRT today, it was absofuckingloutely jampacked (well, as always) that I had to squeeze in between a fat hairy guy and a pregnant woman. In between plucking the guy’s arm hair and playfully jabbing the pregnant woman’s stomach, I tried to stand in a way that actually feels remotely comfortable. By “remotely comfortable” I mean “the bodily contortion which is least painful and would not result in broken bones and an erection”. More »
Hai gais. My name’s David Hasselhoff. I’m here to inform you that much to my regret, Ade has been taken over by a nasty case of writer’s block and has problems updating his blog.
So he asked me to fill in for him. Oh joy! You and I will be spending quality time together!
I mean, think of the possibilities. We can talk about Baywatch, Knight Rider, swimming trunks, and banana guards.
Hi my name is Steven Seagal and just like David here I’ve been asked- GOOD LORD MAN DID YOU JUST SAY BANANA GUARDS?
