Luis Katigbak of Manila Bulletin Online gushes about DRIP:
“First, I’m going to force—I mean, strongly recommend—that you buy the new Drip album, Identity Theft. Basically, Drip is 2-3 guys on turntables and electronics, and one striking frontwoman. I wish I could have taken you to a Drip gig before lead singer Beng Calma went on an extended break to give birth; she is awesome to behold—beautiful and fierce and cool and powerful. But the guys are no slouches either, far from it—they bring a degree of virtuosity to their untraditional instruments that is utterly compelling: the beats, scratches, and electronic textures and flourishes are impeccable and exciting, a rare combination.”

I myself am sick of reading like a gazillion blog posts about the recent Oktoberfest Kick Off Party where the Third Eye Blind Concert was held. When I want to read updates about Third Eye Blind, especially feedback on their concert, I of course Google them but much to my great dismay, the first few pages of the search results yield mostly Filipino SEO-ed blogs that practically read like press releases — same shit, different writing styles (I should know; I write press releases, too).
Everybody’s talking about the Eraserheads these days. Hardcore fans. Posers. New media. Old media. All because of their reunion concert. This reminded me of how rabid a fan I was back in the 90’s and how casual an observer I am now. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the hell out of them and their music. I just loved them more when I was younger and the band was just beginning to shake the foundations of the Philippine music industry. It is all still fresh in my mind.

We all know that the Eraserheads reunion concert was cut short due to Ely Buendia’s poor health. He was rushed to the hospital just after the first set of songs. I was there at the concert.
Some fans proceeded to the backstage after the Eraserheads staff and the promoter left the venue. They found a piece of paper containing the full set list of what the band would have performed that night.
They are:

The concert will still be held in the Fort Bonifacio open field and will start at 8:00 pm. It’s going to be strict in there. The gates will open at 3:00 pm and will close at 8:00 pm. It’s recommended to bring an ID with you.
