Plugging

Sunday
Jul 23,2006

This is an ongoing project of a great friend of mine and myself. I was always interested with my dreams but I never really took the time out to analyze it. Now, my friend and I decided to make baby steps by doing a chronicle of our dreams. Hopefully, we can establish a pattern after a while. In the mean time, help yourselves with our serving of our Subconscious Perceptions.

It’s been quite a time since my last Isulong SEOPH post here and papa google starts throwing me down because of it so i’d better make some serious or rather try something serious with my campaign.

But how can a non-seo practitioner like me do something to climb the top spot for the query? Nuh, I really don’t know what to do so I’ll just continue enjoying the funny side of it.

My WikiBlog Experiment

Wednesday
Jul 19,2006

I’m experimenting on using my TiddlySpot Wiki as a blog. I’ve written about this in my main blog and as I continue working with the combination, it seems like a really good alternative to other mainstream blogging tools/methods.

How Rich Are You?

Some people spend their days having a $500 haircut and an $80 manicure.

Some are even happy to earn less than $100 a month. In some countries, this is enough to sustain a family.

Everything is relative, but I bet you wouldn’t mind to compare how your salary fares with the rest of the working world, eh?

The award given by Nokia and the UK News Gazette to ‘citizen journalists’ is a clear sign that this new phenomenon can no longer be ingnored and passed off as unreliable or insignificant content of news and current events by the traditional media and will soon become the norm as more and more people are now creating their own blogs and actually watch out and cover significant events in their vicinity.

Question now is, who will be the first Filipino citizen journalist to be honored or given such similar recognition and who will give such recognition?

What Helps You Focus On Your Job?

Sunday

Others take meds, others play billiards, others drink coffee. But what about you? What helps you breeze through your job? Slashdot gave me a few tips. – Apple Door Says NO to Bundy Clocks.

But I don’t want to do that, I want the best of both worlds. I want to keep using Gmail with all of its cool features and mindblowing storage space (over 2 GB and still counting!) while using my new jhay [at] jrocas [dot] com [dot] ph address all at the same time. This has been made possible thanks to a feature called mail forwarding and the ability of Gmail to handle all your other e-mail addresses as different accounts.

How? Again, logging in to my .com.ph + domain’s Cpanel, I can configure my native e-mail account (jhay at jrocas dot com dot ph) to forward all the e-mails it recieves to my Gmail account (jhaykage at gmail dot com). I now log in to my Gmail and proceed to creat a new account or “Send mail as:” profile which means you can use Gmail to send from your other email addresses.

Gmail for my .com.ph domain

Saturday
Jul 15,2006

I spent my entire free hours this morning to finish the setup, configuration and customization of new my Gmail powered-.com.ph e-mail accounts. Sir Angelo Racoma was even surprised at how quick I was accepted to beta test this ‘Gmail for your domain’ service by Google and also the quickness of how I’ve gone through the setup process.

Then I just found out this morning during the customization and setup of this service that it is much harder to switch e-mail accounts or migrate to a new one than migrating your website to a new webhost and domain. It’s similar to the feeling of loosing your old cellphone and it would only get worse once your mind focuses on the fact that you’ve lost sim card, phone book, all the special/important messages and all the contacts as well. I just hope I can get out of this ‘adjustment period’ soon enough.

MonstersGame

Thursday

To those not familiar with the game, there are two sides fighting: werewolves and vampires. I’m a vampire hunting down those askals. Hahaha! It’s very addicting. A lot of Pinoys play the game, and monstersgame is like an epidemic at my workplace. All vampires are welcome to join our clan (as long as there are available slots).

Pimp my Ipod!

I got a classic black cover which, in my opinion, looks sleek. I loved the cover for the navigation wheel!I got two designs. One is a picture of a skull. I must say, this is more for rockers and a gothic looking Ipod. The other was a cool photo of tennis balls. Quite cute (and sporty!).

Wanna try different color combos for your Ipod cover? Go ahead, visit this site and pimp your ipod to your heart’s desire!
