- 1.5 Million minutes of play time during the first week
- Launched in 8 languages
- Most international Facebook Game with user from 150 countries
- Dispute among Facebook users: Whose brain is heaviest?
The new online game “Brain Buddies” is the new darling of Facebook users: Within the first week of being online, Brain Buddies reached 1.5 million minutes of play time, or 25,000 hours.

The brain training game has been developed by Berlin-based start-up wooga and was simultaneously launched in 8 languages on July 1st. During its first week the causal games has attracted users from 150 countries, among them Iran, Turkmenistan, and Fiji.

Brain Buddies offers its users a playful way to determine their brain weight. The game is focusing on a contest among friends to find the one with the heaviest brain. A large set of mini games as well as entertaining graphics make the game fun to play for a long time.

“Launching Brain Buddies in eight languages is paying off nicely”, says a happy founder and managing director Jens Begemann. “We are proud to have what is probably the most international game of its kind on Facebook”.

Brain Buddies is available on Facebook at the following address: http://apps.facebook.com/brainbuddies.

wooga (www.wooga.net) – which stands for “world of gaming” – was founded in January 2009 in Berlin by experienced entrepreneurs (e.g. Jamster). wooga develops and markets games for social networks like Facebook. These so-called “social games” combine the two biggest current online trends: online games and social networks.

Freelance job opportunities are easier to find than ever before. Yet because of the economic crises and the rising demand for flexible employment solutions, freelance jobs have become an increasingly popular career choice. The internet has paved the way for businesses to broaden their client bases and to reach customers globally, thus creating large lucrative marketplaces for freelancers. But how can a freelance find enough work in such a competitive market to sustain a steady income? Learning to find freelance job opportunities can be as simple as browsing online job boards, using bidding sites, and/or seeking clients locally. The secret to finding steady work as a freelance is to build a satisfied client base who will be happy to recommend your work to others. Make the most of every contact, and use every available option for finding freelance job opportunities.

Seek Local Clients

Although there are a wealth of jobs to be found online, many freelancers prefer to find local clients. Freelancers can find local clients by cold calling local professionals and businesses. Some freelancers use a marketing kit that includes a mailer, brochure, and even press releases.

Browse Online Job Portals

There are many different types of job boards online, ranging from exclusive freelance job sites to corporate job boards. Many online job boards dedicated exclusively to freelance jobs. Others cater to a diversified freelancer market segment to include not only freelance website design jobs but also writing, health care, architecture, legal, jobs. All types of job boards can offer freelance job opportunities, but by visiting job boards focused only on freelance work, finding work as a freelancer is usually easier. Many online job portals allow users to post an online profile or portfolio page, making it easier for those seeking a freelancer’s to hire one directly rather than posting job ads.

Use Bidding Sites

In addition to more traditional job boards, where an employer posts an ad for applicants to respond to directly, many freelancers have luck finding jobs at freelance bidding sites. These sites work a bit like an auction, except that the job is not automatically awarded to the lowest bidder. An employer posts a freelance job, and freelancers bid on the job by quoting a price for the project. An advantage of bidding sites is that most allow those seeking freelance job opportunities to fill out a profile page listing areas of expertise and other details, so employers can come to them.

For freelance work, visit one of the many platforms and choose from many fresh freelance jobs and networking possibilities totally for FREE.

How to Spot PTC Scams

Sunday
Jul 5,2009

Due to the roaring success of PTC programs, fraudulent PTC sites which are run by scamming people populate the internet. According to some, 99% of the PTC industry is a scam. I’d say that’s way too many. We can’t be completely sure how many of these programs are scams, but for someone to exaggerate it in such proportions is reason enough that scams are flagrant in the PTC business.

If there’s one thing for sure, PTC programs don’t last forever. Most of them last only a few months. They appear legit in the beginning then end up scamming their members when they disappear all of a sudden. They disappear because of two reasons: they were really setup to scam people; or the site admin can’t maintain the site anymore. Hence, knowing when a PTC site will eventually disappear is a valuable skill a PTC user should acquire.

How then can you avoid being scammed? Here is a list which could help you spot the most likely candidates of turning into scam.

1) First things first. Like what I’ve said in my previous article about how to find the best paid to click programs, check if the site is in any scam list. There are people who are dedicated on tracking these scamming sites and they make lists and PTC updates to warn people about the scams. For starters, google something like ptc scams or ptc scam list to find them. You could also check out GPT boycott and scam.com for the same matter. Check PTC forums. No, not those within the PTC itself, I mean those forums dedicated to talking about PTCs. Take PTCTalk and TalkPTC for example. They’re oozing with the latest about PTCs and their owners.

2) Joining PTC programs should be free. If it requires a fee to join it’s definitely a scam.

3) Check out the pay rates of the company. Legitimate sites typically pay $0.01 or $0.02 for a click. If the company advertises extravagant rates such as $1 to $10 per click, it is 100% scam.

How to Find the Best PTC Programs

Wednesday
Jul 1,2009

Spotting the best PTC sites isn’t hard if you know what to look for. Let me start off by saying that even the once best PTC site can start having trouble. Some of them can become scams over night and some can just run out of money. So in the PTC world you must always be on your toes and constantly be on the look out for signs that your PTC site is going through hard times. Make sure you never spend too much money in any one site. Trust me when I say; even if a site looks like it will always be around, don’t go spending too much at once. Some people sign-up to a PTC site and start upgrading their membership, buying tons of referrals, and changing all their referral strategies to get more out of their new site in an instant. Before they knew it, poof, the site’s nowhere to be found along with their cash.

This isn’t the way to go. There’s such a strategy called “testing the water”. Always give it some time and earn a little before you spend too much time or money. Remember, it has to stick around long enough for you to get your money back.

National Interest Waivers Provide Individuals with Permanent Status.

A foreign national may apply for lawful permanent residence status (green card), and seek a waiver of the job offer and labor certification requirements, by establishing that his or her admission to permanent residence would be in the National Interest.

There is no regulatory or statutory standard as to what will qualify an alien for a National Interest Waiver. The USCIS considers each case on an individual basis. The procedure is to file the case with evidence to establish that the alien’s proposed services will be in an area of substantial intrinsic merit and will have a national benefit, and that the alien has some track record of success in his or her field.

The value of the National Interest Waiver classification seems to be that it does “not” require an employer to sponsor the prospective employee. Thus, it is referred to as a “self-sponsorship” classification for the green card. Of course, if the National Interest Waiver is done with the support of an organizational sponsor, the case can be perceived as being “stronger” by the CIS adjudicators.

The National Interest Waiver is an EB-2 classification. This means that the priority date numbers reported by the U.S. Department of State are likely to move the green card faster for the applicants then in the EB-3 classification. For Nationals of China and India (and some other countries) this consideration is very important.

In deciding whether the proposed work will be in an area of substantial intrinsic merit, factors that have been considered in successful cases include:

*The foreign national’s admission will improve the U.S. economy.

*The foreign national’s admission will improve wages and working conditions of U.S. Workers.

*The foreign national’s admission will improve educational and training programs for U.S. children and under-qualified workers.

*The foreign national’s admission will improve healthcare.

*The foreign national’s admission will provide more affordable housing for young, aged, or poor U.S. residents.

*The foreign national’s admission will improve the U.S. environment and lead to more productive use of the national resources.

*The foreign national’s admission is requested by an interested U.S. government agency.

In addition to requiring the showing of a benefit that is national in scope, national interest cases require that the emphasis rest with the overall value and potential of the particular beneficiary’s individual contribution to the United States. National Interest Waivers are granted to aliens who will substantially benefit prospectively the national economy, cultural or educational interests, or welfare of the United States. The alien may qualify by being found to be a key or critical member of a team if it can be shown that the team function would be severely impaired without this member. However, merely working in an area of national interest does not necessitate a finding of national interest qualification.

Many of the National Interest Waivers that have been approved were supported by affidavits from well-known, distinguished and influential people or organizations. Strong National Interest Waiver cases also document past achievements. They may include proof, for example, that the foreign national has already created jobs, has turned around a business, has created an increase in exports, has published articles in scholarly journals, or has made presentations at symposia.

CIS Officers look for realistic evidence of substantial prospective benefit to a national interest item or agenda which specifically sets the alien apart from others in the field.

If you are considering the National Interest Waiver, you will need to provide the following:

  • Evidence of a one-time achievement (i.e., a major, internationally-recognized award), or at least three of the following:

    * Receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or awards for excellence in the field of endeavor,

  • * Membership in associations in the field which require outstanding achievements as judged by recognized national or international experts

    * Published material about the foreign national in professional or major trade publications or other major media,

    * Participation on a panel or individually as a judge of the work of others in the field or an allied field,

    * Original scientific, scholarly, artistic, athletic, or business-related contributions of significance in the field,

    * Authorship of scholarly articles in the field, in professional or major trade publications or other major media,

    * Display of the foreign nationals’ work at artistic exhibitions or showcases,

    * Evidence that the foreign national has performed in a leading or critical role for organizations or establishments that have a distinguished reputation,

    * Evidence that the foreign national has commanded a high salary or other high remuneration for services, or

    * Evidence of commercial successes in the performing arts, as shown by box office receipts or record, cassette, compact disk, or video sales.

Recently, we helped a Researcher Professional working on potential drug therapy for autism gain a national interest waiver. We have also assisted doctors who are willing to practice full-time in an area designated as having a shortage of health care professionals or in a facility operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Earning money online is difficult especially for those people who live outside US and don’t have a credit card. That’s why I want to tell you how to make good money online without having a credit card or giving away any of your personal data. If you want to make money online but do not like writing articles or blogging then Paid To Click sites might be your option. Paid To Click programs have proven to be good earners for everyone from any country in the world!

Paid to Click (PTC) sites, as they are commonly called, are incentive based advertising websites. Advertisers pay the site for real visitors and the PTC site pays its members to click on their ads and view them for 10 to 30 seconds. Most likely these sites pay 0.02-0.005$ per click and there are approximately 10-50 advertisements to click every day, sometimes it’s more. They don’t require any special skills or knowledge to work with. All you need to do is spend a few minutes a day clicking on ads.

Basically, there’s really nothing special about making money from PTC sites. From the name itself, all you have to do is to just click and you’ll make money out of it. But beyond just simple clicking and viewing of ads for a period of time, there’s a whole array of technique used to maximize your earning potential from PTC sites. Like it or not, most of these techniques have been proven effective by PTC users who have been milking the industry earlier than you and me. Here, I will detail tried and tested ways for you to start earning something decent out of these Paid To Click programs.

First and foremost, like every trade known to man, you’ll need patience and perseverance. Nothing comes from work without effort but waste. Again and again, setbacks will come your way; and if you give up early in the game, then you’ll just be wasting your time. In the same manner, doing things repetitively without any clear direction is another waste of time. Before subjecting yourself to any form of endeavor, you need to have some strategy on how to make things go your way and not the reverse. In PTC business, patience plus smart work equals success.

Here is a classic sample of an Erap adage, ‘Don’t judge a book if you are not a judge’.

The clip is from the first episode of Britain Got Talent 2009, where Susan Boyle, a 47 yr old woman made a surprising display of talent. Honestly, when I saw this clip, I was thinking that this is probably one of those type of viral clips like the Bulgarian Idol who sang the “Ken Lee” by Mariah Carey. But unlike that performance, Susan Boyle’s performance is an ‘In your face!’ type of performance. Go click the play button and watch for yourself.[Read more]

I woke up a few mornings ago reminded that it’s not how hard you work, it’s how smart you work. Getting chores done just for the sake of getting them done is not always the best way to go. To truly accomplish something worthwhile, you have to focus on what you want and work backwards to achieve it. Figure out what your objective is and create steps that lead up to its completion. For instance, I have a client who goes a million miles an hour doing everything she can to get work off of her desk. She just starts with what’s on top of the pile and works her way down. But what in the pile is really relevant? urgent? important? And what about emails?

I would venture to say the tasks she has to do fit somewhere on a continuum of ‘somewhat important’ to ‘very important’, but not all of them are urgent (there are some folks out there, however, who have only a stack of urgent work).

Once she sorts out tasks that can be unloaded, she can focus on what is most core to her business. She will be freed up to work smart – being creative and innovative.

By focusing on getting rid of her busywork (working hard) allowing her to focus energy on growing her business (working smart), she will be much happier completing her objective.
