Indeed, with those high price tags attached to legal and licensed copies of Microsoft Office, cafe owners would definitely seek out alternatives and most the most common practice is to use illegal or ‘pirated’ copies of the proprietary office suite from Microsoft which has become the so-called industry standard. Since one could buy illegal or ‘pirated’ copis of MS Office for just under Php200.00 ($3.64 using the current exchange rate), it’s a no-brainer why most internet cafes have shied away from the legal and licensed copies of MS Office.
But there’s an alternative to MS Office, and it’s absolutely FREE, legal to use and even share!

Technically, I started out blogging last May 2005, and withing that span from May 2005 to July 2005 I had been making a lot of changes in terms of the theme of my blog. My first one was that of friendster, overall it was fine, but back then I feel that the articles written were not as eye catching as I expected, so I decided to scrap it out. My purpose for attending the Sulong Negosyo at Market! Market! was to meet Lynn, the owner of Crazy Choco. She sells Chocolate Fountain and fondue set and I’ve been meaning to buy the latter. See, I took photos of her Crazy Choco booth in Megamall last month. Fortunately for her, two customers surfed my photo gallery and saw the chocolate fountain photo flowing with Belgian Chocolate. Yum. The good news was these gallery visitors bought from her. I was hoping she’d give me a discount on the fondue set which is priced at 1,200 pesos. So anyway, armed with my digital camera and fresh from my gym workout, I headed towards the exhibits.
