Sponsors have until today to donate to charities which participated in the Blogathon 2006.
At last count, we have met the target:

Bago ang lahat, isa munang patalastas:
Sa bahay ng bagong mag-asawa, bandang 5:00 ng hapon -
Babae: Honey, magluluto na ako, anong gusto mong hapunan?
Lalaki: Ikaw, ikaw ang gusto kong ihapunan. (Needless to say, banatan sila.)
Kinaumagahan -
Babae: Honey, anong gusto mong almusal?
Lalaki: Ikaw, ikaw ang aalmusalin ko. (Ayus, e di banatan uli sila!)
Makatanghali -
Babae: Hon, di ka ba nagugutom? Anong iluluto kong pananghalian mo?
Lalaki: Ikaw, ikaw ang ipanananghalian ko. (Syempre pa, pambanatan na naman sila.)
Pagsapit ng hapon, may kumatok. Baba si lalaki upang harapin kung sino man yun. After half an hour, balik sya sa bahay at nagulantang dahil si misis ay hubo’t hubad na nagpapadulas sa barandilya ng hagdan. Wowoweeeeee!!!, sigaw pa sya na parang bata. “What the..? Hon, anong ginagawa mo?!!”, tanong ni lalaki. “Wala lang”, sagot ni babae. “Pinaiinit ko lang itong hapunan mo.”

I have very fond memories of this church. Being only a few blocks from our house, this was where we went to every Sunday. I had my first communion here, as well as my baptism and confirmation. Actually, I was baptized twice on that very same Sunday — the first was at 10 a.m. and the second was just before noon.
And having been baptized twice, I would occasionally tease a devout Catholic aunt, that I was assured a ticket to heaven. But she would quickly argue that had I been truly touched by God while going through those two baptismal rites, I would have been busily pursuing priesthood, or at the very least, had grown up to become an ideal Catholic. You see, something happened when I was about twelve that she did not approve of.
We were waiting for my friend’s little boy and his dad since we were going to watch the Red Bull Air Race down in Sultanahmet at 4:30pm. After my ice cream and chocolate, I decided to join my other two friends for a round of beer and so we ordered one more pitcher…. and another… and another…

Six reasons I would like to do the Blogathon again:
1. It was fun;
2. It raised funds;
3. It tested my stamina;
4. And tickled my imagina;
5. It build a global community;
6. And helped in charity.

sandstorm struck in dubai for two days, visibility was reduced and temperature (40-42c) and humidity (60% – 70%) soared. i’m stuck at home during the day, soaked myself in the bathroom for two hours and watched underworld: evolution.

I came back from the dead today.
Journalistic death, that is. And I owe it all to God. HE used several people to rouse me from my year’s stupor and to break a year-long writer’s block. First there is my friend Noemi who introduced me to the world of blogging. Blogging has been very therapeutic in restoring my creative juices and getting them flowing once more. A month ago, this blog was recognized as one the Philippines Top 100 blogs and I look Continue reading about it here
This is really a big development in the research against AIDS and how to combat the dreaded diseases which man has been fighting for the last 25 years. The study according to the news item, suggests that medical treatment should now focus of the gut mucosa or the intestinal linings where “gut-associated lymphoid tissue accounts for 70 percent of the body’s immune system. Restoring its function is crucial to ridding the body of the virus.”
Since the study has found out that the AIDS virus stays or does most of it damage to the immune system via the intestinal linings, it now reinforces the notion that unsafe sex between homosexuals (anal sex) should be strongly avoided. Another small step towards the defeat of the AIDS disease in humans.
Six top fundraisers in the Blogathon have a total of 241 pledges amounting to $19,982.60 or more than 20 percent of the whole donation.
We should commend them for their tremendous efforts.
Do I need to see a shrink?
I’ve grown tired and unintrested in getting involved with the Ministry. Alam ko namang mangingialam ang mga manang at manong sa simbahan kaya magkakandaletse-letse na naman ang mga buhay at plano namin para sa mga kabataan ng aming parokya, kaya ayaw ko na muna.
I know that the elders would once more meddle in our affairs and screw up our plans so before it happens again I’m bolting out, I’m just simply tired of wrestling with the jurassic generation of church people in our parish, who refuse to wake up and realise that their time has ended and now it’s our turn to run things in the church. It’s the old refusing to give way to the new. Though I enjoyed this kind of struggle in the past, I seem to have lost interest in it for now. God help me. God help us the youth.

The fruits of the July 4 bug hunt has come to bear. The newest security upgrade for WordPress is now released.
Still, despite the harsh economic realities, you’d still find a great number of young Filipinos, students especially, running around with the latest gadget technology can offer. The most visible representation would be the mobile phone; Nokia, SonyEricsson, Motorolla are just among the top brands whose latest models graze the hands, necks, bags and belt pouches of today’s students and young professionals. Add to this, the mp3 players from Creative, Sony and the much coveted iPod accompanying the newest models of mobile phones owned by the Filipino students today, one could easily assume that things are not so bad here in the Philippines. Or the Philippines is truly modernizing into the future or something else similar.Read more
Technically, I started out blogging last May 2005, and withing that span from May 2005 to July 2005 I had been making a lot of changes in terms of the theme of my blog. My first one was that of friendster, overall it was fine, but back then I feel that the articles written were not as eye catching as I expected, so I decided to scrap it out. Then afterwards, I moved to Blogger around June 2005 within that span of time, the same thing happended – the theme were not as eye catching as I expected. More…
The plagiarist left a comment.
I’m not going to react to everything he says because it’s not worth it, but take a look at these: “maybe it would have been better if you’d asked…” and “…viewing a positively committed mistake as a negative is worse than committing plagiarism as admitted.” More…
