As in!

My blog’s visitor a while ago was the 188th during the past 24 hours. He/she was also the No. 8888 in my sitemeter. Must be a real lucky visitor. Orientals like me believe 8 is a lucky number, especially on financial matters. The two connecting circles denote money. Having six 8s certainly mean a ton of it.

it’s been a while since i visited madinat jumeirah. not knowing any restrictions, we took out our “big guns” and started shooting for subjects… then we headed down near the artificial lagoon when we were stopped by the guard…

I had a great time last Saturday, a couple of beer with old friends in my mom’s place in Tondo and a lot of chit-chat. And being a blog addict, I couldn’t take off giving out stories about it. Then, one of them asked me how to start one….
Here’s what i exactly told him….
Wiz. Wit talaga. I just switched my listing, leaving this unbelievable ranking - No. 1 in the political blogs category.

If you’re somewhat addicted to joining sites like MySpace, the Pinoy favorite Friendster, and any other similiar sites, then each profile you make is a source for those precious links since again, getting in coming links are not that easy. So the more incoming links to your blog, the more likely it will be put in a higher position in web searches. Setting up profile pages in various sites and linking them to your blog is one way of “do-it-yourself” blog promotion without the difficulties of negotiating link exchanges and such.

most of the time, when i go weeks without blogging, it usually means i’m in a very happy place, im perfectly content in my little space in the world and there’s no real reason to vent out, thus, no blogging.
not in this case. I chose not to write because i decided to practice a little tact, hoping it would spread like a contagious disease and reach those who need to exercise some. I was thinking maybe if i shut up for a little while, i can filter out unnecessary hostility and be less of a biatch (although, i publicly admit being a certified one). don’t get me wrong, this is a very traumatic experience for me. I’ve never felt so offended lately that it brings out the very bad, bad side of me. I don’t like the feeling. My bliss went kaput.
“Excuse me, Your Holiness,” says the driver, “Would you please take your seat so we can leave?”
“Well, to tell you the truth,” says the Pope, “they never let me drive at the Vatican when I was a cardinal, and I’d really like to drive today.”
“I’m sorry, Your Holiness, but I cannot let you do that. I’d lose my job! And what if something should happen?” protests the driver, wishing he’d never gone to work that morning.
“Who’s going to tell?” says the Pope with a smile.
Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 105 mph. (Remember, he’s a German Pope.)

Aside from the contestants, other Pinoy bloggers who did not joined I’m sure has also learned a thing or two about seo tricks and techniques especially when they actively supported their blogging friends who have joined the contest. Kudos to the organizers of the contest for once again, they have brought the Pilipino blogging community much closer together; in competition and cooperation.Lastly, and for a little dose of fun, major who shouted Isulong seoph has come up with good ways on how not to win the Isulong seoph contest. So if you’re tired of typing Isulong seoph in your blog or somewhere else, you might just have to follow some or all of major’s advice. If not, then go on and press harder, aim for number one and shout “Isulong seoph!”Read More
From the point of view of government agencies - like the COMELEC - in particular, blogs serve as a means of increasing transparency - letting the world in to see what actually goes on behind the monolithic walls of the bureaucracy.
In about two hours, Ka Satur and wife Ka Bobbie are set to arrive in Geneva to the warm embrace and cheers from members of Migrante International-Switzerland chapter. I am sure Ka Satur will go straight to work, to perhaps frantically reschedule meetings with human rights monitors and fellow parliamentarians who have all expected to see him earlier this week.
Frankly, I did not expect Ka Satur to be able to go to Geneva last night. Yes, he secured a permit from the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 57. Yes, the Supreme Court has issued a status quo order against the justice department. But I was truly convinced that the Arroyo regime would move heaven and earth to stop Ka Satur from leaving Manila and taking his just cause to Geneva.
