Do you want to type Ññ, the ₱eso sign, and even Baybayin/Alibata?

Now you can! With the official release of the new Philippines National Keyboard Layout, Filipino all-over the world can now type the characters that before we have to copy-and-paste elsewhere (or memorize ASCII codes).

For example, if I want to type “ñ”, I just click (RAlt)/AltGr+n and I get ñ. Typing Batangueño is now way much faster and easy. Or if you are creating financial reports and your currency is in Philippine Peso, forget about typing PHP/Php, just press (RAlt)/AltGr+p and you get the ₱eso sign.

Font availability is not a problem at all. Months ago I tested the ₱eso sign availability by simply asking it on µblogs and social networks – Linux, Windows, and Mac users can see it! And Ññ of course has been in the ASCII range (0-255) for a looooong time already.

Here’s more, start typing in Baybayin (or Alibata as was wrongly labeled by our Education system) direct from your keyboard! No need to use online typepads or copy pasting, or escaping via HTML codes, just type as you would when typing in Latin.

But as you can see, you will need a font to display the Baybayin characters. Soon however, newer versions of different operating systems will have a Baybayin font included, we are working on it. For now, as a temporary solution, you can download one of the 30-50 Baybayin fonts available online! Yes, we have that much fonts, Filipinos are creating new fonts left and right.

Can someone read it? Oh yes. Offline and online. If you are in Megapolitan Manila, probably you haven’t seen or met one yet, but outside of Mega Manila, there are lots. Online, you probably encountered us talking in Baybayin via Twitter, Facebook, Plurk, Identi.ca/Status.net, Multiply, even on our blogs and comments, but you don’t have a font.

Fair enough. We included a Baybayin font created by Nordenx, in our downloadable zip files. Simply install it and voila, you will start seeing the beautiful Baybayin writing script of our great Nation.

I myself have just completed ten hours of driving school and will vouch that 90 percent of what the instructor taught me, are taught in the following videos. Mystery Shopping – 450 PHP per shop

Greetings from AQ Services International!

We would like to invite you to apply for a mystery shopping program. It would require you to mystery visit several petrol stations.

1. For these mystery shops you need a PERSONAL CAR (motorcycles are not allowed). You are required to observe the service and facilities standards of petrol stations.

2. Reimbursement: The shop fee is 450 Pesos per shop. You are required to make petrol and store item purchase. The minimum amount to spend on fuel is 200 Pesos.

3. Deadline: These mystery shops have to be completed within the one week and the surveys must be completed and submitted within 24 hours of mystery shopping, latest by the 14th of November 2009

Please note that these mystery shops are to be executed between 9 am to 3 pm, 7 days a week (Including weekend).

We will inform you from the 19th October onwards if you are selected for one or more mystery shops. Do check your mailbox for updates!

I love scrapbooking.

When I got into this ~~vice addiction~~ hobby, I never knew that I’d be putting in so much time, effort, money and emotion into it. Before the dawn of digital scrapbooking, I had already amassed a HUUUGE collection of stickers, papers, albums, scissors, and all sorts of embellishments one can put on a layout. I’ve done my share of printing every picture thru Walmart and Target and even Snapfish. To-date I have categorized my paper into colors, my stickers into small, medium, large and extra-large, my embellishments in neat little tiny boxes and my rolls of ribbons in roll boxes. If not for my husband jokingly warning me that he’d be donating all my stuff to Goodwill (which is his way of saying “ENOUGH!”), I would have filled the green room from top to bottom with no place left to go to.

Can You Handle a Disposale Camera?

You must have perfected the art of digital photography by now. You are adept in operating a digital camera, you can probably punch into the settings and menus with your eyes closed! I know I can (well, maybe half-closed). I am attached to my digital camera in as much as I am to my laptop. I never go out without a camera on my purse. I could leave home without a cellphone but never without a digital camera!

But what happens if you are handed a disposable camera? You remember those. You know, that kind where you wind up the wheel on the upper right corner and peek into this tiny window as you point and snap to take a picture at the same time you are pressing on that flash button on the front of the camera. That kind.

I bet that will be a real challenge! Well, are you up for it?

If you only have one photo to take when a camera is handed to you, what would you take? Are you going to shoot randomly or think hard?

A traveling one-time use camera is sent out to the world and asks people it meets to take ONE PHOTO of any thing, any event, or of any one that triggers interest, inspires, disgusts them at that particular first chanced meeting with the camera.

Sa matagal na panahong pananakop ng mga kastila, sila ay nag-iwan ng mga bakas na hanggang sa ngayon ay marka parin ng ating bayan. Paano tayo naging malayang kung gayong may mga bakas parin ng ating pagkaalipin katulad ng pangalan ng ating bansa na malinaw na nagsasabing tayo ay pag-aari parin ni Haring Felipe II?

Nakakapagtakang nakalaya na tayo’t lahat ay mukhang nakalimutan ng ating mga naunang lider o bayani na palitan ang pangalan ng ating bansa? Hindi naman siguro lingid sa kanilang kaalaman noon na ang pangalang Pilipinas ay ipinagkaloob ni Villalobos sa ating bansa sa ngalang ni haring Felipe.

Nakalimutan nga kaya nilang palitan, sinadyang kalimutan o wala sa isip nilang palitan ang pangalang Pilipinas.
