The local Philippine censor’s board, the MTRCB, has just given an X rating to a film project calling for the release of abducted (and still-missing) activist Jonas Burgos. Like a third-rate thespian, MTRCB Consoliza Laguardia unconvincingly tries to justify this outrightly fascist gesture to the public by saying that the film was “unfair” and “undermining the faith” in the government.
