A few bloggers and myself were invited to a pre-Valentine dinner at Venize Piazza at McKinley Hill. We were served a smorgasbord of dishes from 2 restaurants – Old Vine and Kuse(pronounced as Kusinero). Old Vine offers Mediterranean inspired recipes while Kuse serves Filipino dishes. Since the two food establishments are right beside each other, we just remained at Old Vine and waited for the dishes to come to us. Scrumptious food accompanied by great friends made this night a memorable one.

I just realized that it’s just a less than a week before Valentine’s Day. As much as I try block out the world when everyone starts to become mushy, there will be a couple of people who will break into my zen bubble and piss the hell out of me. You will then see me retreat into my room, crying, bird in hand, wanking off. Okay, to be really honest, I’m not even making a huge deal out of Valentine’s anymore. It’s like the whole novelty of the stupid day has died for me. Also, I don’t even know if I’m willing to blow half my salary for a bouquet of roses anymore. You know, if I’m going to invest in getting laid, I’d be better off handing girls a note that says “Let’s fuck! No? K.”

I am surrounded by friends who are mostly challenged with conceiving children. But not me. We always joke about how extremely fertile I am that just by mere holding hands with my husband, I would likely get pregnant. I truly am fortunate to have a very welcoming uterus that has brought me two wonderful sons that surely trying for another baby will be a cinch.
