The Pakalistas chow down some Goi Cuon, Yam Palomari, and Pad Thai. Of course, a Lemon Grass experience will not be complete without the best seller Suon Nuong (Grilled pork spareribs) and the very refreshing Citrus and Herb Lemonade.

Lemon Grass, one of the restaurants in Cebu that now occupies space at The Terraces in Ayala, serves great Thai and Vietnamese food. The Pakalistas have listed 10 reasons why you should dine at this Cebu restaurant, check them out!
There are also some nice night view shots of The Terraces at Diningcebu.com.
Are you a fan of this young adult vampire/romance novel written by author Stephenie Meyer —Twilight. A few of my office mates are, and in fact they’ve been asking me to blog about it also. Well I think I can do more than just blogging. Why not create a community of “twilighters” here in the Philippines — Twilight fansite? I know this is a good story and for sure more and more young adult will love to have one community here in Philippines —- I just hope I’m right.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
As controversial as the “Dream Match” between Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao is, even the most doubtful skeptics can’t help but hide their anticipation of what might be the year’s greatest sports spectacle not named the Olympics. After all, here’s one golden opportunity to see if it’s true that “a good big man beats up a good small man.”
Now, the quotation from the late Martin Luther King, Jr. might seem awkward when used in a sports article, but I think it’s relevant to both fighters. Pacquiao will defy the odds and the weighing scale to fight a much bigger and stronger man. On the other hand, De La Hoya will defy public opinion and make people realize that this fight is much more competitive than the mismatch some critics think it is. Whether or not Pacquiao or De La Hoya can overcome these challenges will have a telling effect on their respective careers and reputations.
I got my Wrath of the Lich King box today, a few days ahead (yeah, really early!) Join me as I open the box and see what is inside.
I love contests. I join all types of contests, online and offline, ranging from essay writing to lotteries. No contest is too big nor too small for me, as long as it promises a significant reward that could be fame or fortune,or both.
So when I read that WP Webhost is organizing a contest for the Coolest WordPress Blog, I decided to try my puny luck and hope that destiny will see it fit to reward my audacity. Imagine, I’ve just been blogging for less than a month, and now I’m competing for $2,000 worth of prizes that are enough to make my head spin. Sure, 2,000 bucks is chump change for my idol Bill Gates, but that might be enough for me to jumpstart my fledgling Internet career and make me a future billionaire. That is, if you cooperate with me.
The conference on the “Filipino Community and Beyond,” sponsored by the National Alliance of Philippine Women in Canada ended last Sunday. Aside from being enlightening, the conference was also very refreshing because it was focused on community—not academic—research. Perhaps the most concrete sign that it was not like the other conferences I’ve been to were the proliferation of baby strollers at the venue. More…
I don’t see myself as religious but I consider myself fairly spiritual. Though I believe on demon possession, whenever I hear stories of one, I dismiss it as hearsay arguing that perhaps the person concern may only have mental disturbance.
Until I faced off with a demon possessed woman
It was such a gloomy day today. I had stayed at home because I was sporting a fever, a soar throat and was coughing it up every 10 minutes. The fact that it rained so hard early this afternoon that caused my cable to conk out did not help to alleviate the dismal atmosphere that comes with being pitifully sick alone at home.
Little did I know that having the cable signal disappear would bring a different kind of warmth to our little home.
Buon Giorno – means good day. And wouldn’t you have a good day after filling yourself with great food and great ambience? I know I would.
Truth be told, the city of Tagaytay has turned commercial. I have always loved Tagaytay and am a frequent visitor since my college days and I am witness to the growth that the city has undergone. Used to be, there was just a trickle of dining establishments that line the main road, many of them serving Beef Bulalo (Beef shank stew) as a specialty. These days, you will see many familiar restaurants like Yellow Cab, Dencio’s, Figaro, Cafe Breton. These places started out in Manila and eventually found a spot in Tagaytay City. It has become Manila that came with a 2 hour travel time and weather ten degrees cooler.
have you tried google on your desktop?
if you believe that google is the best tool to search the web, wait ’till you find out if it tries to search your desktop! once it is installed, it automatically indexes your pc and your search results would look like that of the google web page search except that it would indicate if the result was from an email, a page, a document, even from a zip file.

Random memory from 18 years ago:
buck teethApparently, I thought I was born in the year of the rabbit and had a strange obsession with the animal. Hell, I even thought my buck teeth were indicative of the fact that I am a rabbit made man (let’s keep away from the awkward furry implications from that last statement and we’d all be happy campers, people). Anyway, this strange obsession with rabbits made 7-year old me go hop around the house and make rabbit noises. This apparently drove my folks crazy, because next thing I knew they bought me a big white rabbit. No, really, the rabbit was fucking huge.

Pakalistas Fedge and Berg checked out Ayala Center Cebu’s newly opened The Terraces and had a great time at Sizzlin Pepper Steak, one of the newest restaurants in Cebu offering Japanese food. Based on the description though, this seems like Japanese fusion of some sort. This is definitely one Cebu restaurant we should check out.

Tahanang Walang Hagdanan (TWH) is a center that provides a shelter for people with disabilities (PWD). It was started in the 60s and is now a thriving community with development, educational and rehabilitation programs in place.
My parent’s house is situated very near to where TWH is located. I lived for years watching men and women cross our streets in wheelchairs. I vaguely remember even playing sports inside the gated community during those times wherein they sponsored the neighborhood basketball or volleyball games. The surroundings were quiet and clean and I used to wonder how it could flourish in such a chaotic neighborhood such as ours.
