I just read Stephanie Meyer’s 2nd book, NEW MOON and I’m almost finished with her 3rd one, ECLIPSE. Soon, I will be caught on her 4th book, Breaking Dawn. I think I have found a new drug that is making me addicted! Reason that I have not kept a balance diet in taking my breaks to munch something edible. EDWARD CULLEN and BELLA SWAN, the two main characters of her books are the culprits of why I forgot myself to the real world of work! It’s so bizarre that it affected me so much that I call every appealing guy I see, Edward! Why vampires do permeate into my hypothalamus?! I’m hallucinating! Damn, can someone slap me?!

I’ve told my students in De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde that Ruby on Rails and Merb is the “SOL” in VERTSOL and now we have a fully mature e-commerce app,  Spree deployed on Heroku (an online Ruby on Rails development and hosting environment) – check it out here (your mileage may vary as Information Systems student Arjay “JayThree03″ Orcasitas) might still be tweaking the code).  We started looking at Heroku at the beginning of the term and with a few more weeks to the end of the term – EUREKA!You can check out the thread in the Spree-User Google Groupshere’s a screenshot of the integration

The cool thing is that Sean Schofield (!!!) himself has become interested into how Spree integrates with Heroku after the thread:

I was working on drafting the contents of a training manual cum user guide for one of my projects today when I suddenly wished I was in possession of a how-to guide on how to live the life of a wife and mom. Of course I would have to say rather, how to live successfully as a wife and mom. Add to that being a daughter, a neighbor, a colleague, a mentor, a sister, a friend. Don’t you think that would be simply awesome?

Samsung and her chichi counterpart’s Philippine Daily Inquirer and the rest of the sponsors’ Folded and Hung, YOU, Kipling, Nike Sports, Technomarine, Speedo, and Havaianas all presented one ramping sensation they call the Inquirer Lifestyle Series for Fitness Fashion last Saturday at the Waterfront Hotel Pacific Ballroom in Cebu. We weren’t greeted by satins and layers and layers of tulle to highlight wedding gowns and evening wear but were enthused by casual and fitness apparel all showcased by the country’s designers that we pay lip service to and Cebu’s MAC and Manila Models.
