Breaded chicken fillets, chicken fingers, crispy chicken fingers. They all sound the same to me. Yaya used to make these a lot especially when there was not enough time to concoct some fancy dinner for the family. Its quick, easy and tasty. Pair it up with some mushroom gravy or even just plain ketchup and you’re in fastfood heaven.

I myself am sick of reading like a gazillion blog posts about the recent Oktoberfest Kick Off Party where the Third Eye Blind Concert was held. When I want to read updates about Third Eye Blind, especially feedback on their concert, I of course Google them but much to my great dismay, the first few pages of the search results yield mostly Filipino SEO-ed blogs that practically read like press releases — same shit, different writing styles (I should know; I write press releases, too).

It’s really nice when things end up the way you planned it when you were a child dreaming of it.
My father is a Civil Engineer, and as an eldest son, I grew up idolizing him including his profession. But upon his advice, I took up other Engineering course when I went to college. After almost 7 years of working, now I end up on a company doing the construction business.
Though I do work as a part of the IT department and make solutions for the construction business, it keeps on hitting my head. What would I have been if I continued to take up his steps? But somehow deep in my heart I know I made the right choice in listening to him.
So thanks dad!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Large Hadron Collider.
Guess what this weird-looking contraption is for? Well, aside from
making jokes about it becoming the biggest bait for “large hard-on”
jokes, it’s probably the most awesome thing ever. Before it kills us.
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world’s largest
and highest-energy particle accelerator complex, intended to collide
opposing beams of protons charged with approximately 7 TeV of energy.
Its main purpose is to explore the validity and limitations of the
Standard Model, the current theoretical picture for particle physics.
It is theorized that the collider will produce the Higgs boson, the
observation of which could confirm the predictions and missing links in
the Standard Model, and could explain how other elementary particles
acquire properties such as mass.
Make any sense? No? Okay, to make things easier to my readers who
don’t have a degree in quantum physics (I’m pretty sure there’s a
couple out there), the Large Hadron Collider basically tries to make
protons run in a very large oval. A fucking large oval. An oval with a
17-mile circumference, to be exact. More »

Mo Twister runs a celebrity showdown among ABS-CBN and GMA 7 stars, and it seems to be the most reliable system on how you rate who’s the hottest. He believes that most men’s magazine doesn’t give accurate ranking or maybe, not clear ideas on how they rank them…
Check it out and vote for your choice. Hottest Pinay Celebrity Showdown.

Let me just take some time off from regularly not updating this blog and make an important announcement. The Philippine Blog Awards are on and we have the Blogger’s Choice Award, which is the only category there which we can choose. Well, I can go on plugging lots of people here, but come on, there really is no contest. There’s only one guy who deserves to win here: Mike Villar.

I JUST WANT TO RELAY A TERRIBLE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED TO ME LAST SEPTEMBER 2, 2008, 7PM. I JUST GOT OUT OF GLORIETTA AND WAS ON MY WAY HOME. WHILE WAITING FOR THE BUS, I NOTICED A GUY WEARING A FITNESS FIRST SHIRT/BAG STANDING NEXT TO ME.
SINCE THE ONGOING BUSES ARE COMING FROM HIS DIRECTION I COULDNT HELP BUT NOTICE HIM. NOT LONG AFTER MY RIDE CAME ALONG. AS I WAS RIDING THE BUS THE SAME GUY PUNCHED ME HARD ON THE SIDE OF MY TORSO. I WAS SHOCKED! MY MIND STOPPED THINKING AND ALL I COULD THINK OF WAS GETTING OUT OF HARMS WAY. I DIDN’T EVEN THINK OF ASKING HELP AS EVEN THE BUS DRIVER WAS LAUGHING AT THE INCIDENT.
I DIDN’T GO TO WORK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE I STILL COULDN’T COME TO TERMS WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. THIS FORUM IS A LONG SHOT BUT ITS MY WAY OF RELEASING MY NEGATIVE EMOTIONS. I HOPE KARMA CATCHES UP TO THAT GUY. AM SURE HE FEELS REALLY “MACHO” HITTING A GUY BEHIND HIS BACK. THANKS TO ALL WHO CARE TO READ THIS ENTRY AND I HOPE “HE” COMES ACROSS THIS.

Mark September 6th 2008 on your calendar.
WordCamp 2008 Philipppines just happened and it just happened to be the first ever WordCamp organized in Southeast Asia and in the Philippines.
For liveblogging, check it out here.
Here’s some news about it in Inquirer.
What’s significant about WordCamp and ecommerce?
You need 3 things to come up with an ecommerce sit: a website, a payment gateway and a shopping cart.
AsiaPay takes care of your payment gateway and your shopping cart.
WordPress (or any other CMS or blogging platform) can easily take care of your website needs.
Yes. You don’t need to wait 6-8 months for your diva website designer to come up with a site.
Yes. You can be a Fortune 500 company and have your company site on WordPress.
Example? Check out the Ford Motor Company Global Autocars Show and Concept Cars site.
Yes. It runs on WordPress! This site runs also on WordPress and so does www.ebiziseasy.com
Something to get excited about: Matt Mullenweg for the first time EVAR, demoed the upcoming version 2.7 of WordPress to the oohs and aahs of the WordCampers – he showed of the drag-and-drop features which all augurs one thing – easier website development for would be e-commerce adopters!

I was surprised by my youngest son this morning. He came up to me and asked me, “Mommy? Abre mo please?”, while holding up an old remote he was playing with. I stared at him and tried hard to decipher what in the world he was trying to say. I could tell he was asking me to open the back of the remote where the batteries are placed but I could not determine the words he was using to express it.

If you’re a blogger, you are probably using one or the other or in my case- both: Copyscape and Creative Commons. I have decided to tackle the subjects after receiving an anonymous (I am inimical to anonymous comments!! You have a name, for crying out loud use it!) comment on my previous post about the two. It was an irrelevant note, from (I assume) a blogger with a Philippine IP address who just sort of ‘ordered’ me:
“You can not use copyscape and Creative Commons at the same time. Copyscape goes against sharing which is what Creative Commons is all about. search Free Culture Movement, open source, GPL, linux, IBM, Creative Commons are all part of the movement, copyscape is not because it is against it.”
Aaah, yeah… Nevermind the syntax! Earth calling nameless person! Aside from the fact that your comment was totally unrelated to my post, you have no idea what you’re blabbering about. Your comment is an absolute farce and the arguments totally neither here nor there. But thanks to you, I now have a blog post!
Bust the misconceptions here…
