If you’ve noticed, the frequency of my posts here have been declining in both frequency and quality. I swear I’ve been trying very hard to set aside some time to write something (remotely) substantial but it’s either I don’t have the time or my brain just won’t fucking cooperate.
Okay, maybe I haven’t reached rock bottom yet. Unlike this girl:
Heath Ledger was not the typical Joker that Jack Nicholson portrayed in his prime. Look at him..dirty, scary, smelly and gay?? listen carefully, he made Joker the biggest joke of all batman franchise especially when he wore the nurse outfit then walked out after exploding the hospital… the accent resounds as if it goes straight from Brokeback Mountain’s parody(although his voice changed when he was raised upside down as if someone else dubbed that part when he might be already dead in real life) to match Christian’s tight-lip speaking manner as if he wears false teeth if not only gums tantamount to having hare lip and speech defect.
Seriously.
But still, I think I’m going through the worst bout of writer’s block ever. I actually try to write something, but dammit, I can’t write. Not a single sentence that I can be proud of. More »
Proud eagles, sporty parrots and amazing cockatoos are just some of the unrestrained but trained birds you will see in Malagos Garden Resort. Plus Waling-Waling forest and yummy Ostrich Salpicao. Read more about it HERE.
As I took out the puto wannabe from my oven, my heart skipped a beat because finally after trying probably 10,000 puto recipes (I’m exagerating a little bit) it looks like I got it right this time. I rushed to take it out of the bano maria burning myself a little bit in the process. Hurriedly, again burning my mouth, I took a bite and rejoiced….Yes! Puto Nga! “Breakout“, Miley Cyrus’ latest album is no Hannah Montana. But, this Disney star continues the hype and sensation with “Breakout” as it peaks to the top spot of Billboard 200, selling more than 371, 352 units on its first week.
No, this is not about the bad weather. Yet the disturbance is as compelling.
The dark clouds hovering in Mindanao is ironically about peace.
The agreement on the contentious ancestral domain issue between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) set to be signed in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow is causing serious concerns in several key areas of the island, notably in North Cotabato, Iligan and Zamboanga.
The inclusion of parts of their territory – without prior consultation – is among the gusty winds heaping up various protests.
I was just watching updates on the Olympics preps. Each comment is a gold nugget. One of the sayings they have right now is, “Olympic wins are transient, but cultural impressions last forever.” I find it amazing that they are doing everything they can to showcase their culture. They even have officials with the designated job of “manners minder.” This century is really so different. Read more…
I’ve been using FriendFeed for sometime now. (I can’t track when exactly.) But it is only today that I’m planning to use it for promoting my content and, perhaps, getting more networks. According to a few well known personalities in blogging and socialmedia (I won’t be giving names but I think some of you know who the heck these people are who takes FriendFeed as the holy grail of their blog traffic), FriendFeed can give your blogs and socialmedia profiles better exposure and following hence converting to traffic, which I can’t be sure if monetizable or not. Besides the potential to promote my blogs better, I think I’m giving FriendFeed a try because it enables me to follow people and see their select online activities that they chose to share with FriendFeed, which I can look at and see if it has any use for me. Also it provides a nifty search function which enables me to search through community exchanges which Google can barely provide.

Before we get into the reviews, here’s a short message from Dr. Doom:
DOOM: Behold! The new Emperor of Twitter: VICTOR VON DOOM! Follow DOOM on Twitter lest you feel his wrath! DOOM COMMANDS IT!
Thank you, Mr. Emperor of Twitter. Now, on to the reviews!

Uncanny X-Men #500 – I had great expectations for this issue, and that probably explains why I’m disappointed. Maybe there was just too much going on and it felt like an extra-sized preview book. Maybe it’s the distracting art. I don’t know. Don’t get me wrong, I love Terry Dodson’s art and I don’t hate Greg Land’s “lightbox style”, but they just don’t mix, is all I’m saying.
Photographing Dorothy of McFarlaine’s Twisted Faity Tales set with a camphone. I know you want to say it’s kick-ass so give in already. LOL i Keed. See the 5-photo set here.
If you have a new computer and currently looking for a good Anti-virus solution but doesn’t want to shell out some cash then this is for you. Computer Associates is giving a 1 year FREE trial for their Anti-virus product and from what I read they do this from time to time so I would suggest that you grab a copy while it’s still available.
I am a self-confessed chocolate lover who is not inclined to indulge in desserts that are either pale, pastel or entirely colorless. That means I do not buy vanilla ice cream unless I plan to combine it with chocolate or brownies. I also do not like butter cakes unless they are melt in your mouth or are truly outrageous. I prefer moist chocolate cakes to butter chiffon or even dulce de leche. I make exceptions of course but mostly, I would probably order chocolate first before anything else.
The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) is holding two contests this year… It is worth noting that the first requires the use of Filipino, while the other includes Tagalog. This, perhaps, was meant to highlight the difference between Filipino and Tagalog, that one is not equivalent to the other. But what if, for instance, someone submits an essay written in Tagalog for the Gantimpalang Collantes? Will it be accepted as having been written in “Filipino”? If the answer is yes, would the answer still be the same if the essay were written in any of the other major languages? If not, does this mean that the other languages are not, in fact, Filipino? The latest Pulse Asia survey on the 2010 presidential derby once again highlighted the need for the opposition to unite and field a common candidate.
Of ten presidentiables included in the survey, 7 are identified with the opposition. Their combined preference rating is an overwhelming 71 percent.
Are we allowed to get mad at our parents? And if we are… are we allowed to stay mad at them? It would not be a normal household if children and their parents do not argue or fight with each other. Although many times during these so called fights subtle stabs at one’s guilt will be done. How often have you heard parents say to their kids: “I bore you for 9 months!….”, “I sent you to a good school…”, and from the movie Riding In Cars with Boys – “I am your mother and that means you are not allowed to stay mad at me!”.
Cebu Seo Contest, Just giving it a try. My old buddy Lhurey is having this little funfair “Cebu Seo Contest” but I think I missed this one.

The trouble with exposing graft and corruption in this country is that the whistle blower gets into trouble.
There is a long list of journalists and activists who are now six feet under, for instance, because of exposing and opposing graft and corruption.
For the lucky ones who are still living, tables are turned against them.
