The Eraserheads will have their reunion concert on August 30, 2008 8:00 pm at the Fort Bonifacio open field, Global City.
In the historic Senate vote on the US bases treaty, 12 senators voted for non-concurrence on September 16, 1991.
Once again, my hats off to the Magnificent 12 – Senators Jovito Salonga, Butz Aquino, Juan Ponce Enrile, Joseph Estrada, Tito Guingona, Sotero Laurel, Ernie Maceda, Orly Mercado, Nene Pimentel, Rene Saguisag, Bobby Tanada, and Victor Ziga.
Today, the country needs at least 8 senators to do the same to uphold our sovereignty and dignity and vote against JPEPA.
I’m pinning my hope on the following:
When you are out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the tailor.
-Albert Einstein
I’m writing a scientific proposal. These are set of ideas to be tested in the real world, and besides me is this book, to describe my ideas. In capital letters, I’m RECOMMENDING THIS BOOK TO BE BESIDE EVERY SCIENCE WRITING PROJECT for scientists and engineers. It’s the best thing that happened to me after slice bread. Before, I thought my writing skills were good, but honestly it’s not.
Science writing and blogging or novel writing are different things. In blogging, you may use fat phrases or words needlessly, but in science, leave elegance to the tailor. Check some of the examples of the book.

I’m sure you are so excited today because it’s Beijing Olympics today! Yeah! But are you forgetting something today? Something much more important than the Beijing Olympics. Something that has more weight and will affect you and your descendants forever. It’s ASEAN Day today – August 8, 2008.
Do you know this year’s theme? I’ll tell you now: One ASEAN Identity, One ASEAN Community by 2015. ASEAN Community by 2015, do you know that it means integration of 10 South-East Asian countries? But haven’t you realized or even asked the question:
What is an ASEAN Identity? Come share your point-of-views before you glue your eyes and ears with the Olympics.
So today, the Beijing Olympics officially start. Not that I care, of course. Everybody knows that I’m a big tub of lard whose main physical activity would be the three minute walk from my bed to the computer table. To Plurk. (Speaking of Plurk, trying to keep your Plurk Karma up is an Olympic feat by itself. Kinda like trying to keep my penis up- no, wait! Fuck!) By the time I get my knees to bend, I’m a sweaty, shivering pile of pain. Which only goes to show how much I care about sports and shit like that. More »

PROBLEM:
Microsoft Office 2007 products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc) lockup/crash when closing or during usage.
DISCUSSION:
Issue(s) seem to be related to a PDF plug-in installed. Issues have been seen with the Adobe PDF plug-in when a HP printer selected as the default printer (Issue may occur with other brands of printers but all reports I have so far are from HP printers). Other issues have been seen with ScanSoft PDF Create installed.
WORKAROUND:
For systems having issues with the HP printer assigned as the default printer, try the following steps:

The last protest rally I attended was against child labor two months ago.
Today, I just joined another.
I have been using Sun Cellular prepaid simcard ever since it was available in the market. It’s very useful for people who keep in touch regularly such as BF-GF, family, friends etc. because it has cheap call and text rates for Sun to Sun subscribers. Last year, my sister shared to me that you could convert a regular load into a Call (4 hours) & Text Unlimited. The benefit of doing this versus buying a 150 call & text unlimited load is that you can avail 25 FREE text to other networks and it lasts for 30 days. Smart eh? I have been doing this ever since I discovered it.
I am still joining the contest, though I would need to start from scratch again.
In relation to Pinoy blogger: Cebu Seo Contest by Lhurey of http://phblogger.net, this would be my new entry for this contest.

This is a photo of myself with some of my brothers and sisters in UPLB MASS taken in December 2004 at UPLB’s Carabao Park. After an org activity, we decided to just dick around the park and bask in the simple beauty of a cool December evening while being surrounded by Christmas lights and friends. It was just us, the trees, the stars, the lights, and the pond. That was what being in UP Los Baños meant to me. Simple joys. Complex relationships. All under the warm shadow of Oble.
But enough about me and my nostalgia. I’m writing this post to invite you to share your UP photos that show how special UP is to you. Not only will you be sharing your UP moments, you will also get the chance to win face-rocking prizes!

I was born and raised in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and even though the other side of the island (Occidental) is just a bus away, I was not able to visit that part. Not until this time that I’m here in Cebu and found a supporting job, I can now manage to go somewhere else wherever I want. And I was been in Mambukal last August 2-3, 2008. It is located at Minoyan, Murcia, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. This adventure trip idea was brought by a close friend of mine who happened to be my team mate. We want to experience a different taste of nature aside from the known beach escapades. What Mambukal has to offer is what we’re looking for. And below is the itinerary of our trip:

I am not a war monger and not about to fan one.
Yet, the government’s deal with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front to seek peace is ironically causing the drum beatings for war.
“War is coming.”
“Military, MILF rebels trade mortar fires in North Cotabato.”
“AFP prepared for untoward incidents in the south.”
That’s what this unpopular government reaped for sowing the seeds of secrecy.
I was researching what eigenstate is and found a good explanation from the web.
An eigenstate is one of the many possible states which may exist prior to quantum decoherence
Ok, I don’t know what quantum decoherence means, but here’s a better analogy.
The story of Schrodinger’s Cat is one of the most well known story involving eigenstates. The story goes like this:
There’s a cat inside a box, with a poison ready to be release anytime. Since you don’t know when the poison is released, the cat is either alive or dead. Alive and dead is the eigenstates.

While checking JJ’s blog and her RSS problem, I stumbled about a trick to get some detailed statistics on about any FeedBurner feed as long as they have the FeedCount service activated.
This is useful if you want to find out a blog’s RSS subscriber count (if they really have guzzillions subscribers as they say).
For starters, you should know that the name of the FeedBurner feed is generally written after the slash. On my blog for example, the URL of the FeedBurner feed is feeds.feedburner.com/Lloydlopez wherein Lloydlopez is the feedname.
I warned this last Saturday in our post Unity; Change:
“Yup, we should all watch out for the administration moves to revive term extension via amendments to the Constitution. Malacanang is exploiting the peace process in Mindanao as its key to unlock charter change.”
