I am a mother of two and with my eldest going 5 next month, I must say I have had my share of Jollibee Kiddie Parties, McDonalds and even KFC kiddie parties. I used to think they were the best choice for me as I get too busy to even think about organizing my own kid’s party. Choosing that method though will set you off a couple of thousand pesos.
Hi, being in the later years of life, a “Senior Citizen” i think they call it, i decided to make one more journey before i retire to a more sedatory life. Or not quite so adventurous perhaps?
So I spent a couple of three weeks of touring Africa with 4 of my friends, mainly in Namibia where i have been so many times before, and then the last long journey from Cambodia to Singapore before i return to the Philippines. And all on a 950cc KTM Motorbike.
Yeah I know I must be nuts, but a happy nutter….
Having uploaded all my photos and the ones i stole from my friends to the “Multiply” site, as the up loader is so fast, I would lke to share with you a few weeks of travels and fun had by myself and my friends
so please take a look at the photos when you have time

I only started dating about a year ago (yes, because I’m a fail like that) and I must say it’s been a fun ride so far. However, I do believe that one must explore and try out as many “fishes” out there in the ocean to find what suits her most. Hence, this list of guys I’d like to date…
1. The Rockstar
Profession: Musician, Writer, Director and the like
Idea of a date: Gig of his or his friends’ band- at Big Sky.
Pro: He’s a star. I’m a star. From the start, it’s already a match made in artsy-fartsy heaven.
Con: Groupies. FUCKING BREAST-FLASHING, ONE-NIGHT-STAND-OFFERING GROUPIES. And not to forget, mood swings.

Because of my work, I’m in the same circle as a lot of these “rockstars and artists” and it’s not that hard for me to meet one. But I remember this musician dude who was the first person who ever confessed his feelings for me and though he’s majorly hot and talented, he reeked of alcohol and yosi by default.
Seriously though, I think THE ROCKSTARS are hot. Won’t mind being asked out by one. Or two. Or five. Or more.

The seventh season of American Idol is trimmed down to only four contestants now that Brooke White was voted out of the top talent/reality TV show.
“The Philippine based Eksena Manila is a young developing community of 87 (and counting) agents to date and in the process of establishing their name and reputation to match the global Improv standards.”
Inspired by the Improv Everywhere in US who are famous in making chaos and joy in public places they started the great Frozen Grand Central now a big hit all around the world that made local chapters like Eksena Manila do the same thing in their place/country.
I am not sure why, but I think when people search for Anthony Taberna, they are led to my blog (2nd ranked on google and 3rd on yahoo when “Anthony Taberna” is searched, as of today) where in 2006 I commented on the reasons (or lack of it) why he is becoming more and more successful (eg: more shows). As a result, that has become this blog’s most read page and the article is the most commented on.
Again, I still maintain the opinion that I cannot see why Mr. Taberna is gaining success on TV and radio (ABS-CBN). His voice is not as good as many on radio nor does he look any good on TV. His comments are obviously scripted (not bad) but also obviously has an underlying agenda not necessarily the truth (bad)….
…But of course, the mere fact I am asking the question (the why Taberna’s success) means I have an inkling of the answer. I suspect Taberna is a deployment from some group with a political agenda, possibly former President Erap’s camp.

We’ve all done it! Admittedly, I do. It’s among my fave pastimes in the internet: Googling my name, my family’s or somebody else’s name. It’s always interesting what one can find by Googling a familiar name. It’s even more surprising to find a name exactly the same as ours.
For Filipinos and I guess for people with Spanish lineage, it is very rare to find names that’s exactly theirs. Blame it on our parents who seemed to find pleasure in blessing us with 2 or more! I have 4 names (including my middle name, which is actually my mother’s maiden name) with Maria as the first name. My three other sisters have Maria for their first names as well and they have at least 2 more excluding our last name.
In America and most parts of the world, people have only one first name, a middle name (that is actually just any other name-not from their mother’s maiden name!) and a last name (which could be taken from the father’s or the mother’s). Most often, they would drop the middle name altogether and just use a first and last name as in James Smith, Charles Davis, or Jennifer Taylor. Much easier to Google and finding a match, isn’t it? Sure beats finding the exact person with the 4 names I have!
This guy from Los Angeles, Jim Killeen takes Googling his own name to the next level! He made it into a movie! It’s the latest buzzword now here in America, “Google Me”! Like you and me, he Googled his name and found a list of his namesakes. This lead to an idea of what if I track and meet these people? He did and thus transformed his remarkable journey from different parts of the world into a documentary-movie that premiered in YouTube last Friday.
“What do a cop, a swinger, an Irish priest, an engineer, a father of eight, an Aussie and a gambler have in common?” says the YouTube description. The documentary of course, stars 7 guys named Jim Killeen.
