This is on top of MySpace and Youtube since both sites for eating up too much bandwidth while blogs aren’t legitimate media outlets — and therefore, shouldn’t be read at work. WTF! Can you comment on that? Anyway, correspondences is found below..

This is the second shooting that happened in a school campus within a month. NUI incident was still fresh and here comes another news. Although it’s considered to be an isolated incident but still it’s worth dissecting our existing security measures.
I’m ready to get back to work full-time and so for now I’m back to the almost-daily grind of submitting resumes, filling out application forms, and (groan) interviewing.
Because I took a class in job hunting (yes, this was an actual, graded class that counted towards my college units) and because I spent almost 10 years of my career interviewing and hiring people to work for me, I know all the right things to say as well as the wrong things to do. But I’ve decided now to set most of what I know aside and just be honest.

There’s a very popular saying amongst bloggers, and it goes: content is king. As a blogger, your content is your most precious resource. I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to let sploggers and feed scrapers take that away from me. Not if I can help it. Not if you can help it. How? Click here.

I stumbled upon an article by Nick on PinoyDreamer.com titled “Philippine Politics in the Blogosphere? What do you think?” that talks about a particular blog called Gloria-Resign.net in which, from the name itself, is a blog against Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Nick says that such a blog with a political agenda should stay out of the blogosphere due to the reason that it paints a negative picture of the Philippines.
“In my own point of view, these kinds of blogs may give negative impressions about our country and should stay out of the blogosphere. Freedom of expression alright! But isn’t it getting too far? Getting too far in places it shouldn’t? I’m just worried about the impact it may bring to our country, and of course to us, Filipinos.”
According to their website, “After rumors were posted around the internet that David has a steady boyfriend of 2-3 years and that he stripped at Dick’s Cabaret, we found pictures of David working at Burn, a gay nightclub that just recently closed in Phoenix.”

I still haven’t decided whom to vote for in November — not because I’m wishy-washy, but because I feel like I still don’t have enough information to make a choice I’m completely comfortable with. I’ll reveal this much, though: it will either be Clinton or Obama. Of course, I’m assuming that all goes well with my US citizenship interview next month and that the naturalization process moves along quickly enough so that I’ll be waving my little American flag along with thousands of new citizens before the elections take place later this year.
Anyway, if I had to pick the very first time I ever get to vote in my life, it would be in this year’s elections. I remember during my upper-division political science class in college, my professor — an Oxford-educated political consultant — stated with absolute conviction that the only thing you could count on if you were to predict who would be the next US president is that he would be white and male. Now, no longer. So you can only imagine that I would want nothing else than to take part in history-making.
So here’s an interesting article I came across recently. Emily Yoffe of Slate Magazine applied a revision of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to classify the three leading presidential candidates into their personality categories: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain. (She didn’t do the same for Mike Huckabee because she refused to consider the possibility of a Huckabee presidency. Ditto.)

Lot’s of things to worry about today and let me innumerate this one by one. Just hope I won’t miss a few things here since this will be my to do list before March starts and before my 26th birthday starts.
Are you familiar with the “Aristocrats” joke? It doesn’t resonate much, if at all, in our local idiom, and I myself don’t find it funny–at least in its most basic form. But among stand-up comics in the US, doing variations on the “Aristocrats” joke is apparently a prime test of nerve, wits and brinkmanship, because it’s designed to invite the most outrageous riffing and improvising on a basic storyline that ends with the same punchline.
As it happens, there was a documentary made in 2005 about this most vulgar of jokes, called, but of course, The Aristocrats. Some of America’s finest comedians (Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Reiser, Drew Carey, Eddie Izzard, Sarah Silverman, George Carlin, Trey Parker of South Park) appear in the movie to do their take on the gag, but the funniest version for me, bar none, is Mario Cantone’s–for one reason.
He does it a la Liza Minnelli, and it’s about her sitting on top of a piano and fitting the whole thing up her vagina(!). What he says next is absofuckinlutely brilliant, hilarious, hysterical, as he morphs into Liza Z. down to the breathless voice, the husky notes and the slightly cross-eyed look (and he’s not even in drag!).

I found this when I was looking for a way to convert the December 2007 Nursing Exam Results document to a PDF file. Previously, I was using other PDF printers and was not aware that Microsoft is offering an official save as PDF or XPS plugin for Office 2007.
This plugin allows you to export and save Microsoft Office 2007 documents in PDF and XPS format, you can also send these PDF and XPS files as attachments with some of the Office programs.

Isn’t it awesome that we grew up with such wonderful toys such as LEGO, WWF Wrestling Figures, and Ghostbuster action figures? And now, imagine how sucky life it is for kids today, for they have these toys to play around with:
C’mon guys, what could be manlier than Batman, that superhero that goes off into the night , beating up criminals and stuff? Heck, for a time I wanted to be like him.
Okay, not the sexual predator side of Batman, but if you didn’t find anything cool about having no superpowers at all, and possibly being the only guy who can take down with nothing more than brains, you’re probably a girl. Read the rest of this entry »
