Canon laucnhes the EOS 450D as its newest addition to their entry level DSLRs. The 450D now has 12MP resolution, 3.5fps shooting capability and 3.0″ LCD with Live View. It now uses SD/SDHC instead of the usual CF from the 350D/400D. You won’t be able to use your BG-E3 battery grips from your 350D/400D as the 450D uses the BG-E5 battery grip.

And in merry old England, Gypsy said that Brit parents had a grand total of six names to choose from… Mark, John, Colin, Andy, David, and Tim.

Carlotta’s dog is Sputnik. Gina’s is Tabachingching. Kongkong622’s dogs are also Pssst!, Hoy, and then there are Pogi and Khadaffi. Zherwin’s dogs are Tiriray, Tilandi, and Kikay.

Verns’ future children are Liam and Olive. Rayts’ are Josephine and Miguel.

And what do you know… it appears that Snglguy is descended from some ancient Chinese dynasty (Ming Dynasty? Or Tang Dynasty?). BTW, Snglguy means Single Guy and NOT Snuggle Guy.

Today, the Philippine Legitimate Stage Artists Group, Inc. (PHILSTAGE), in cooperation with the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, is mounting “Theater Herstory 101: A Tribute to National Artist for Theater Daisy Hontiveros-Avellana,” at 3:00 and 8 p.m., at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (CCP Little Theater). Admission is free.

“The multi-media concert-informance brings to a close the CCP-led year-long tribute to Ms. Avellana, an actor, director and writer who elevated professional theater to a new level of excellence,” explains PHILSTAGE in a statement. Ms. Avellana turns 91 years old on Saturday, January 26.

Let me add my own voice to the acclaim by reposting the appreciation piece I wrote on Ms. Avellana last year to mark the opening ceremonies of the year-long tribute to the “First Lady of Philippine Theater.”

If I have to go shopping for myself or go to the grocery even, I try to leave the kids at home. I did not fancy the challenge of maneuvering the stroller along the narrow aisles or up the escalator or getting squished inside the elevator. Going to the mall with young kids is like going through a Survivor challenge or Fear Factor. Hehe.
