This evening I watched the Stomp, well its not the movie but the stage version of it. STOMP, a unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy, was created in Brighton, UK, in the summer of 1991. It was the result of a 10-year collaboration between its creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas.

Read more and more
I decided to embark a blog series on human resource management and employment to empower readers– employees, on the issue of “losing ones job”, and entrepreneurs and management alike on how to go about it legally. This will cover due process of law and the provisions of the Philippine Labor Code, on “termination of employment”. On the coming days, I will attempt to blog on the following:
Hopefully, I will be able to add value to the readers on how they go about corporate life and/or managing the business.
Aside:
I have 2 movie pass for the flick “the reaping” and I am giving it away. I have sent email to the top 2 commenters and they have until Saturday to confirm, otherwise, it can be yours. I will reply via email (to give instructions on how to get it) to the first 2 commenters if the bloggers I emailed are not interested.
If you want the ticket, leave your comment at Sonnie’s Porch
“Kitty Carlisle Hart, a New York Blend of Actress, Singer and Arts Advocate, Dies at 96,” reported the NY Times yesterday.
Ms. Carlisle Hart was the wife of Moss Hart, the legendary Broadway director who staged, among other triumphs, the Lerner-Loewe musicals “My Fair Lady” and “Camelot,” and the plays “You Can’t Take It With You” and “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” which he co-wrote with the playwright George Kaufman.

BusinessWeek Online has run a very interesting special report on the fast-becoming popular virtual world Second Life and The Coming Virtual Web.

Btw, I am Lorimer Larsson in Second Life, pleased to meet you.
Most feed readers subscribe because they want to read your content and to avoid opening a new window or tab just to visit your site. Additionally, they subscribe to your feeds so they will see all your new posts. Making them or rather forcing them to click on “read more” actually drives them away from the rest of your posts for that period. In other words, you get less exposure and loyal readers.
These are the things that I wish I could say to you, Mom – things I know you are unwilling to hear from me or anyone else. I’m not here to bash you but to be truthful. I cannot stand the fact that you keep burying your head in the sand in almost every situation in your life and that you refuse to hear anything unless it tickles your ear – no matter if they are lies.
Usually these chat rooms have numerous people chatting at one time with topics ranging from the usual how’s-ur-day greeting to the more direct i-wanna-f*ck-someone-now-call-me. Talk about lack of inhibitions of our teens now huh? And mind you not only do girls and boys have all the fun nowadays but gays and lesbians as well. I don’t know if there is such a term used for this act but I would refer to this act as “cyber voyeurism”.
Another initiative to publish rare and out-of-print materials on the net will soon be available for the public to read.
The Philippine Revolutionary records will soon be available through Filipiniana.net, a portal on Philippine studies. It will give us the original proof of our fight for sovereignity against Spain in 1896 and the United States during the Filipino-American War.
These records has been stolen from us for many years and was just returned to the Philippine government in 1957. Learn how our Filipino patriots fight for our freedom…read more
So what is female genital mutilation?
Female genital mutilation is the extraction of a certain body part located in the female genitalia for cultural, religious or other non-medical grounds.
I assume that I could talk about this topic fairly since I am of the opposite gender. Everyone else is recommended to leave a comment to share ideas according to your own perspective. I’m trying to avoid comparison though of the male and female circumcision.

Many times we heard and experience that money is not enough in our life. What say you?Do you feel the same? But, how much is enough? A rich man will eventually blurted out that they don’t have enough to spend too.

Silence can say more than a thousand words.
“This day can be a symbol of support to all the victims of our world!
All you have to do is spread the word about it and post the graphic on your blog on 30th April 2007. No words and no comments. Just respect, reflect and empathy.”

What is attitude? How do we define a person with attitude? Could it be people carrying themselves with an aura of goodwill and just without a care of other feeling? Or attitude should be branded to those people looking at these and just can’t stand the fact that some people are contended with what they are doing or have done.
It was on this faithful night the lore keeper looked outside his window into the gloomy night with the rain pounding the wall of the castle keep. From his studies of the great “Gael” book, with the correct alignment of the stars and the 3 moons that shines every night on Tundera, this was the night that the chosen one will be born into the world.
No one knows why it took so long for Microsoft to develop a plugin for FireFox (not extension), but forget about it coz it is finally here.

Sharing the Love – Join the GreatGamesExperiment Social-Network!
We all love to be loved. And I believe that what you give (or share) to others will come back to you ten-fold (in any form), it could be today, tomorrow, or ten years from now. Sometimes we notice it, sometimes we don’t.
I like and believe in the GreatGamesExperiment project, I was one of the closed beta testers, and wrote a review about it: A Social-Network Service for Gamers, Developers and Publishers.
Today, that which I gave (free promotions and inviting gamers to join) returned back, not just ten-fold, but more!
I was reading about the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting and it is so sad to see how many meaningful and purposeful lives were cut off by a single person whose life did not hold much. Their lives, full of promise and hope for the future of a world they dreamed of changing, ended by someone whose life was spent in silent, simmering anger that finally boiled over – the usual scenario of almost any mass shooting.
