I didn’t win the iPod Video at the Blog Parteeh.

So me, Karla, Aaron and Ajay went around looking for a Starbucks after the event, so we’d have some drinks to match our newly-acquired half-dozen boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts. And I also wanted to drink away my iPod-induced misery.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find a Starbucks, but we did find a quaint little place where thet had good cappuccinos.

AARON: There donuts are delicious. ME: (munching on a donut while crying) But I wanted the iPod KARLA: Aw c’mon Ade, there are like fifty bloggers there and one iPod. ME: But youy see, I have ID# 1079! And the winner’s ID was 1078! I am emo!!! [stops crying lone enough to stuff my face with another donut] AJAY: You seem so contented enough with the donuts. And you have a nano. ME: I’m a [stuffs two donuts into mouth] loser. AARON: Here. Slash your wrists already! [hands me a dinner knife] ME: No way man.

And so ends my pathetic desire to get a new iPod just weeks after I bought me a nano.

But iPod-emoness aside, it was fun. I was finally able to meet some of the people whose blogs I’ve been reading for the last year or so. And it was surprising that some people who I thought didn’t know I existed went up to me and said that they actually read my blog. I salute them for their valor. I mean, after all the creepy stuff I posted here, I was thinking that being in the same room with me would scare some people away.

But I think they mostly wanted to see if I really had man boobs.

I also noticed that the most whispered line in the Parteeh was “Siya pala un!”

I absolutely looove Grey’s Anatomy.

It was a blessing in disguise that I happen to be stuck to the couch with nothing to do but watch TV that time the show first aired (I was on maternity leave). Since then I have followed episode after episode of the series.

I especially love the voice over of Meredith Gray (played by Ellen Pompeo). So SATC style. I also love the fast-paced wit being thrown all around the hospital floor. I adore George’s clumsiness and Izzie’s childish flirtiness. I feel like Cristina is the one I wanna be when I grow up and McDreamy, the one I want to shag every night of my life.

This was our second viewing of Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal in CCP.

this weekend i tried to escape everything familiar. everything that would remind me of joe. i tried to do things, a normal boyfriend would do with me…something he cannot give me…i had to keep busy. nice, fun busy, to get him off my head…at the end of the day i still think of him, but i don’t cry over him anymore.

I’ve always loved seafood and shrimp is on top of the list. I always sort of feel bad for all my friends who have this allergy for these shelled creatures. Who could resist eating shrimp…with all its juice streaming down your chin as you put them in your mouth one after another.

If you’re using the latest version of Ultimate Tag Warrior and plan to upgrade to Wordpress 2.1, don’t!

While I was looking for a fix for my trackback problem, I found out that using Ultimate Tag Warrior version 3.141592 with Wordpress 2.1 will cause you to lose all your tags on a post whenever a new comment is added, deleted, or unapproved. I was guilty of using both so I checked my recent posts after the Wordpress upgrade and true enough, my tags were all gone. I had to add all the tags back for each post.

Do you know how to embed a Youtube Video into your Wordpress.com account? And do you know that Wordpress.com has different method in embedding video on it’s site?  Well today I just found it by searching through google and it leads me to  faq.wordpress.com (how do i post a youtube video ) . I am very glad that it works for me. Although this post is a little bit obsolete for a long time wordpress.com user but still it might help others looking for this method.

…and that was because i didn’t get to win either the iPod Video 5.5 Gen 30GB or the JBL Creature II 3-piece speaker system…

but aside from that “not winning” whine, this is the only thing i can say about the Blog Parteeh! ‘07 that was held today…

Wow. The Lord sounds pissed. This passage is apparently the inspiration for DC’s teaser image this week, which was emailed to various comics news websites and publications with the subject line “Let the battle cry be heard in the land, a shout of great destruction…“

The mysterious image shows a dozen living DC characters, including a supposedly Barry Allen Flash, a Batman from another world, and an emo Superman, and four dead characters. Five, if you count that tiny little hand between Blue Beetle’s knee and Black Canary’s foot. Probably The Atom.
