As the Christmas day draws near, so as our Christmas break one of the most awaited time of the year (to give focus on the celebration of the birth of our lord Jesus Christ). This is also when there are lots of exchanging gifts, Christmas bonus (every employee’s favorite) and also Christmas parties.

Let me focus on the Christmas party part…

In all honesty, I became worried, scared even because 1) I am among the many bloggers out there who uses the AdSense Beautifier plugin and 2) I am also among those who customized the images that the plugin uses. These two factros alone made me a prime candidate for being banned from using AdSense, which would be a real nightmare because I’m still waiting to hit the $100-mark and recieve my very first AdSense check.

So I nearly stayed up all night and worked to change the images the AdSense Beautifier plugin is using for my site. Guided by probloggers Abe and Darren, I first decided to change the images into something that are not closely related to technology, computers, gadgets and health which are the topics I mainly blog about.

What a feel good movie. In my opinion, it’s one of the best Christmas Romantic films of all time. The last part of the movie was just perfect.

I come from a family with no traditions. I think the closest thing we had to one is that my dad used to cook the yummiest omelettes (bursting with onions and tomatoes, with the inside part slightly undercooked) only on Sunday mornings, when all of us were at home together. I think he really enjoyed doing that — something tells me it reminded him of his days living in the States with my mom and two older sisters, when life was tougher yet simpler. Dad used to do the cooking when they lived here — especially since mom defies all laws of chemistry when she burns water.

Before the reunion party, we had our Christmas party here at the office. It was just a simple program. Pizza. Soda. Chocolate cake. Exchanging of gifts. Chuckles. And by the way, I got my “exchange gift baby” a Powerbooks gift certificate since it’s on his wish list. And since that’s also on my wish list (well, actually, I wished for a ComicQuest gift certificate), I got a Powerbooks gift certificate too. What goes around yadda yadda. All this Christmas-party-gifts-wish-lists stuff made me realize that I don’t have a real Christmas wish list yet.

I can come up with a list right now which will probably contain an iPod, a CD of The Hives or The Killers or The White Stripes or The Strokes or Bloc Party’s Silent Alarm album, a girlfriend, hundreds of visits on my blogs, and world peace. But I’m not making that list. Because wishing is for noobs!

Last week, my youngest son, Ryland, had his Christmas concert at school. His grade three class re-enacted the Nativity scene while the choir sang Silent Night. He was one of the three wise men.

While I listened to the children sing Christmas carols, I remember the time when I went caroling from house to house back when I was young. Off to Bicol we go… the bears, that is. We sent some of them off last night via a 10-wheeler truck donated by SHELMED Crafts whose owners are from Albay province. I was in a frantic mode yesterday trying to figure out how I would get ALL 1000 bears to Bicol in time for the distribution on the 21st. I had received notice earlier that there wasn’t enough space on the C-130 for all 28 boxes. Wracking my brains, I tried contacting Menchu Sarmiento, Executive Director of the PAL Foundation, yesterday morning but couldn’t get through her celphone (turns out she had changed her number)! Over lunch I was praying frantically for a solution. I knew that God would provide an answer but HOW? more on how the bears are going to Bicol here

I was egosurfing just now when I came across this website. Well and good, anyone wanting to give me a job would be awesome. But the thing is, I don’t remember posting this on 88db. I don’t even remember signing up for 88db.
