In Vietnam, a blog was set up to record the plight of street kids. In India, there are bloggers who chronicle the resistance of people living in slums whose houses will be demolished. An outreach program which gave training seminars to university students, journalists and other young people about the effectiveness of blogging was successfully conducted in Kazakhstan. In Brazil, the Ministry of Culture promoted blogging as a tool for children to digitize their culture. A radio show devoted to blogging was put up in Ghana.

I saw this movie last Dec. 26 and i was freaking scared the whole time i watched it. I was at my friend’s post christmas party drinking Jack Daniel’s whiskey and with this movie i did’nt get drunk because i was also shouting the whole time hehehehe. I’m looking forward for more Kris Aquino thriller and i’ll try to find her other movie Feng Shui here in Vancouver.

The thing I love about the holidays is the unwritten rule that you have to reflect on the past year. The things that changed. The things that stayed the same. It’s an excuse to be all reflective and emo and shit. And to abide by this unwritten rule, I came up with a list of all significant and not-so-significant-but-worth-noting events of my 2006. Because lists rule!

Though I sometimes experience the reduced bandwidth and intermittent disconnections, I guess it’s still enough to say that it could have gotten worse than that, and I still feel somehow satisfied. One of them is Super Twins, featuring Nadine Samonte and Jennylyn Mercado on a uber copycat of Sailor Moon’s costumes. Umm maybe not too much. They did give em rip-off costumes some cape.

2006 is the best and worst year of my life. Worst — because really, the worst things happened to me in all aspects of my life. Betrayals, failures, failures and more failures. But, having said that, best — because indeed, there’s the calm after each storm.

Each year in our lives is rich in all kinds of experiences that will always teach us a lesson or two. For the year that is about to end, here’s what I feel are the most valuable lessons I have learned. Some lessons I learned from what people around me went through. Some I had to learn myself for the first time. While some, I guess I had to re-learn them time and time again. =p

I got myself a new Imate SP3i smartphone. Its powered by Windows Mobile 2k3 and the memory is upgradeable to 1gb. Back in the Phils. i used to have the Amazing Phone from smart and i loved it that much so i decided to get a new Smartphone here in Canada. Almost all my friends here are jealous about it because its like a handheld PC but its not a Pocket PC its a Smartphone. And every time someone phones me they just smile and get amazed with my ringtone “Boom Tarat”. I dont need an extra memory for it right now because it has 54mb internal memory.
