They don’t hear us whining about their lifestyle, do they? If we want to say “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays” that’sour choice. We will call our tree Christmas Tree instead of Holiday Tree, thank you very much. They can say the latters for all I care, just don’t say they’re offended by my family’s choices.
I just want to share with you an article written by my sister, Karen. In this article she shares her moving story, with the hope that others who are going through difficult ordeals in their lives may find strength and inspiration.

August 3, 2006 at 11:45pm, my husband John handed over an envelope; a piece of paper that seemed so innocuous but in truth contained a devastating content that drastically altered our lives forever… Read complete story here

For the past weeks, this bird keeps bugging our neighbor’s closed window (the one below it) for no obvious reason. Everyday, sometime at noon, the bird flies toward the window and pecks it for many times. Maybe it is attracted to it’s reflection, but I’m not sure. After it gets tired, it rests on top of the window, just as captured in this photo. Then, just this morning, the bird also started to peck at our kitchen’s window, too. Anyway, do you know what kind of bird is this?

Why am I so worried about power blockouts and the inability to go online? It’s because I need my computer and the connection to accomplish my homeworks, extra-curricular stuff and the tools (read:paperworks) that would enable me to rewrite the history of DLSU-D. I could answer my e-mails when the power goes up again, I could survive without YouTube and my Google Reader for days, I have even learned not to blog when I have nothing good to blog about. The bottom line is, Milenyo has taught me to rethink my e-life – it’s purpose, what it should serve, what and whom it will affect – think more of the other lives around me, especially those who would rather spend their money to have their decent meal instead of spending it on gadgets and shameless self-promotion.
I take back what I’ve said a few months back, that I’ll die without the internet. That I’ll go insane without my mp3 player and I’ll jump off a cliff once I can’t access my e-mail. Now I’m thinking, how could I say such things when many others out there only have a candle to light their shanties that threatens to be blown away by a storm. The only thing that protects them while they huddle in the cold just to stay alive.
After watching Chungking Express the second time last Sunday (with a special intermission number from MERALCO power outage two scenes to the ending), I got to see this Pinaka(?) show on QTV11 which countdowns the best Filipino films of the 80′s. I didn’t know much about movies then, but I think I now know enough to have correctly predicted the flicks on the top spots. Still puzzles me why this country did so good during the time of oppression and thereafter produced movies fit for the IQ of a dandruff.
It grinds coffee beans, brews the ground coffee beans and tells the weather! What more can a geek ask for?

I love snow!
Yes people my first snow sighting. It doesn’t snow in the Philippines for those of you who don’t know.
Six days ago, Shari talked about Manny Pacquiao and how Lito Atienza wanted to erect a statue of him at Baywalk. I almost fell off my seat just laughing at how it would look like. Will he be wearing ad-infested-purontong-shorts? Will he sport the Makdo Smile or the Alaxan Smile? Will he be standing, holding up his championship belt or will he be sitting on top of Atienza’s shoulders? Will the statue include his wife and kids in the background? Will it include reporters and TV camera crews swarming around him like flies? LOL.
The following post won’t make sense to about 99.7% of the people who frequent my blog. Which is okay, because this is just me ranting/whining/bitching “aloud” since as I’ve mentioned a couple times, I never really talk about my “real” troubles. So, in short, not only will this be shallow and not entertaining, but moreover, this will suck real bad so leave this page right now before it’s too late! Unless you’ve got a thing for all things emo.
It’s almost a year already since then… Remember that no matter what, no matter how, no matter when, I will always love you… more today than yesterday (but not as much as tomorrow).
This is for you.
