Everything I learned about selling I learned one afternoon from my father at his furniture store in New Era, Michigan. I was 12 years old and I was sweeping the floor when an elderly woman entered the store. I asked Dad if I can wait on her. “Sure”, he replied.

“May I help you?”
“Yes young man I bought a sofa from your store and the leg fell off, I want to know when you are going to fix it”.
“When did you purchase it Ma’am?”
“About ten years ago”.

Personally, the eighth batch of probationary scholars is a bit shocking for me. I believe that the four are among the strongest contenders in the Academy. Pero tulad nga ng sabi ni Headmaster Jim, sa showbiz, minsan nasa taas ka, minsan nasa baba.
Ronnie, Chai, Eman and Rosita, who was prenominated because of failing midterm grades, were the ones nominated for expulsion. Ironically, Ronnie and Eman were once Star Scholars and Chai got the highest midterm grades. For Rosita, this is her fourth nomination despite her exceptional delivery last gala night, so she should really focus hard in practicing for next Saturday.

Located within the San Agustin Church complex, the crypt, formerly called the De Profundis Hall, was where the friars recited the psalm for their fellow brothers and the benefactors of the Community as they left the Refectory. It is also here in which the remains of Juan Luna, Pedro Paterno, Pedro de Tavera, and many others are interred. During the British occupation of Manila (1762-1764), all gravesites like this one — and most especially those of the Spanish conquistadors — were desecrated by the invading forces and ransacked of valuables. The crypt was also used as prison and execution grounds during the Battle of Manila in 1945. The monument at the center marks the tomb of 141 prisoners of war who were executed by the Japanese in the last few days of the occupation of Manila during World War II.

The very reason why I stopped is because I need time to think things over. I needed time to pass. The situation is just too heavy for me to figure things out within a day. Knowing that I will be a father soon is difficult to comprehend, especially at 20. For that, I have to temporarily abandon this blog in search of anything, anywhere and anyone. Now that I’m back, I think I am ready to do this again.
