Talk about hitting it big! A couple of erstwhile PARC residents, Kisha and Tiopi, strutted their stuff on the glamorous fashion scene last Saturday at the Furry Tales fashion show held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

He woke up in a room he did not recognize. His head was throbbing with pain from his hangover.

Did I drink that much, he asked himself.

Slowly, he took in the details of the room. The wall adjacent to him was full of posters and photographs. Floor to ceiling windows were to his left, white curtains billowing, the cold morning breeze bringing goose bumps to his skin. The concave ceiling was painted with a scene from Dante’s Inferno. He had read that book. He found it kind of disturbing, but the way it was depicted in the painting wasn’t so bad. It was probably because the painting was faded. He imagined it in full color and detail and shuddered. He shifted to his right side. He noticed that there was a big mirror flanking the windows. It encompassed the whole wall, including the door. I wrote a similar article that was published in July 23, 2000. This time I would like to share with you some suggestions that may improve our economy and generate jobs for millions of Filipinos. Perhaps our Filipino brothers and sisters who are well off can play a major role in this task of economic survival.

Invest your surplus funds on agricultural ventures and enterprises. Encourage our businessmen to concentrate on providing enough food for all Filipinos

• Buy only Filipino-made goods. (Avoid buying smuggled or imported goods). When we buy Filipino-made goods, we assure our children jobs when they graduate.
• Use your spare time studying entrepreneurship or learning a new business. Make yourself productive all the time.
• Cut-down on recreation and entertainment expenses and save the amount in our local banks.

And GMA TV network listened… and WWE listened… heck, even Batista was made to allot some time for my 3-year old nephew. The WISH KO LANG episode will be aired on November 04.

And of course, I took some a lot of pictures of the Smackdown event and my beloved Undertaker… and couldn’t help but cry when Batista made his entrance because it’s true what he said…

I knew something like this is bound to happen — a pedicab going against the flow of traffic on a busy narrow street of Manila — and causing an adverse incident.

This pedicab driver, despite knowing he had no other place to go, insisted on inching forward and thereby getting pinned when the bus finally tried to move. Fortunately, it wasn’t a bumper-to-bumper situation, which allowed the bus driver to back up and maneuver his bus away from the pinned pedicab.

One of the sites I frequent and write for, The Man Blog, probably the only site dedicated to the awesomeness of man (actually, it’s a clever ploy by Mike “Fucking” Villar to get laid, amongst other things), has been nominated for the 9th Annual Philippine Web Awards!

Well, we are goddamn proud of this achievement because that means the TMB crews’ hard work paid off. You see, kidnapping the Webby award organizers and forcing them at gunpoint to get the nomination is a lot of work. By the way, don’t worry about them. After a few weeks of therapy I heard that they only cry themselves to sleep intermittently.
