Match.com rocks!

Oh my God. Match.com is the shiznit! A co-worker told me that one of our bosses’ profile was up on the site and since it was reeking of blackmail potential, I was dying to check it out using my office computer during office hours with the risk of him seeing me gawking at his profile. Unfortunately, I never found it. However, fortunately (or was it unfortunately?), I stumbled upon other gems that were apt for a Halloween post.

Mumu No. 1Mumu No. 1: “Im a simple kind of person, i dont look much on how people see you in your outside look or even your age …all i need is a gurl who love to be with me anytime and fun to be with…Just try seing me.”

But what he actually meant was: “I love seeing my nipples poke through the sheer material of my black sando. My pastimes include pouring bottled water down my chest, getting high on the smell of pomade, and singing psalms to a photo of Jinggoy Estrada.”

Hey, you! Yes, you! Click here if you’ve got balls!

A Hesitant Father (On Fatherhood)

A father’s greatest joy is his greatest source of sorrow. Why?

“Misedukasyon”

education

Nirerespeto at kinikilala. Susyal, matalino, may kaya.

Malacanang Palace vs. The Firm

The Firm flourished under the Ramos administration, thanks to the political and business savvy of founding partner Antonio Carpio. During the short reign of deposed President Estrada, Carpio kept a low profile as a private practitioner and respected opposition figure. read more?

Remembering the Dead

When I was a kid, I look forward to halloween and all soul’s day. Halloween because of the candies we get during trick or treating and All Soul’s Day because it is our family’s annual reunion in the cemetery.

Growing up on the Philippines, the first of November is a very important day for us. It is a religious holiday (All Saint’s Day). Millions of Filipinos flock to the cemetery to visit their departed friends and family on this day instead of the second of November (which is the actual All Soul’s Day).

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE

We walked by Abercrombie & Fitch and espied a gorgeous man standing inside by the store entrance. Now although this might not sound unusual at all (since everyone knows good looks are an unwritten but universally understood prerequisite to getting a job as a salesperson at any of their stores),this man actually made us stop right in our tracks. He was the usual tall, blonde, tanned, ruggedly handsome sort of fellow you might see ringing up your jeans at A&F — but he was completely shirtless. He wore a fur-lined hoodie jacket and possibly jeans (both our eyes stopped at his impossibly defined six-pack so we really can’t say what he looked like from waist down), and he stood pretty much immobile like he was a mannequin. Which, I suppose, was his raison d’être that day.

Oil Slick? No more!

courtesy of about.com

I never thought that controlling sebum overproduction is possible. For people who are terribly oily like me, controlling it is such a tortuous ordeal. I used to waste 4-5 sheets of oil blotting paper just to nix the icky grease that’s inundating my entire face! I’ve never been a type of person who always retouches to zap the shine lest the build up will cause me more zits. And speaking of zits–the number one ingredient of it is this 3-lettered-word: OIL.

The Devil in Me

We had a Halloween dress-up last night at work. The Angels and Demons thingie. I chose to be a devil, though I really wanted to be a witch or a jedi. Hmpft! Oh well, it was a welcome change from the boring routine. I just needed Prada and my get-up would have been complete.

And then there were horns…
