Still, despite the harsh economic realities, you’d still find a great number of young Filipinos, students especially, running around with the latest gadget technology can offer. The most visible representation would be the mobile phone; Nokia, SonyEricsson, Motorolla are just among the top brands whose latest models graze the hands, necks, bags and belt pouches of today’s students and young professionals. Add to this, the mp3 players from Creative, Sony and the much coveted iPod accompanying the newest models of mobile phones owned by the Filipino students today, one could easily assume that things are not so bad here in the Philippines. Hip-hop music blared in the club. Several platforms, on which club patrons showcased their dancing, rose above the dance floor. On one such platform, Angie was dancing suggestively with a random girl. From behind. With slapping action.

Rosanna’s dad loved to tease me, but even more so after he had read my diary. He used to say — repeatedly — my life would be glorious and tragic, like that of Marie Antoinette’s. What, I’d protest loudly, I’d get my head chopped off and have it fall in a bloody descent into an empty basket? He said I was missing the point. As I’ve said, this is a serious matter that we on the (online) gaming industry must not ignore or we will only face restrictions from our respective governments in the future.

Just a heads up, the Windows Live Mail Desktop beta is now open for all.
It seems Iloilo is divided between whether to love or hate Gloria Arroyo. On one hand, Raul Gonzales, the lesser (since the son is more reasonable) has the support of the Mayor and barangay captains of Iloilo City. On the other hand, ex-Senate President Franklin Drilon enjoys the support of the Iloilo governor.

This story is one of those inspirational stories that truly gives goosebumps and chills everytime I read it. I once read this when I was in high school, and I am just so glad that I found it on the net again. This is an old story… I hope you’d be inspired by it too.
If the Catechism is to be believed, then each time the Mass is performed, Christ’s work on the cross is made present and the work of our redemption is carried out.
But the Bible reveals that the work of redemption was a one time act which was completed when Jesus died on the cross:
“…but now once in the end of the world hath he (Jesus) appeared to put away sin by the
sacrifice of himself.” Hebrews 9:26
Another week of mastery tests are coming up next week. This means another weekend of study and review. I can, in my mind, already start to hear D’s complaints and whines. However, I always promise to myself that I would make his study time as devoid of stress as possible – which sounds easier said than done.Read more
The plagiarist left a comment.
I’m not going to react to everything he says because it’s not worth it, but take a look at these: “maybe it would have been better if you’d asked…” and “…viewing a positively committed mistake as a negative is worse than committing plagiarism as admitted.” More…
