Whether we admit it or not, the people that we most take for granted are usually the ones who have given to us freely and without measure.
It has weighed on my mind lately because I keep seeing individuals who are in need of help not even ask nicely, but instead expect it – and if they don’t receive it, actually demand it. People have extended their hands to them all their lives that they now think of it as a right, and no longer a privilege. They feel a false sense of entitlement, simply because people who love them have met their needs without them having to ask. They even forget to show appreciation after they get what they want.
Consequently, no matter how much they are loved, that kind of behavior never fails to cause that well of love and generosity start to go dry. There’s no faster “drying agent” than ingratitude.

I’m in some kind of a blogger’s block. Too many ideas, not much enthusiasm. Too busy doing stuffs but accomplishing nothing much. You know the drill.
So, let me just comment on some books that I’ve read/encountered recently.
Bob Ong’s Alamat ng Gubat, Jostein Gaarder’s Sophie’s World, and Steve Alten’s Meg Primal Waters.
Six reasons I would like to do the Blogathon again:
1. It was fun;
2. It raised funds;
3. It tested my stamina;
4. And tickled my imagina;
5. It build a global community;
6. And helped in charity.

sandstorm struck in dubai for two days, visibility was reduced and temperature (40-42c) and humidity (60% – 70%) soared. i’m stuck at home during the day, soaked myself in the bathroom for two hours and watched underworld: evolution.

On Saturday night my friend Janice and I went to Porter Square to eat ramen. The Porter Exchange Mall in Cambridge is notable for its Japanese shops and restaurants. There’s a Japanese grocery store, a food court with stalls serving Japanese food, and a Japanese crafts shop.
Over ramen I dumped out all my insecurities about school to Janice.

Serangoon Road in LIttle India
After my walk in China Town, I took an MRT to Singapore’s Little India. Immediately after stepping out of the MRT station up in the streets, I was greeted by a faint scent of incense and unknown spices in the air. I walked towards the Serangoon Road, the main road which intersects the community, is also one of Singapore’s oldest roads.
I came back from the dead today.
Journalistic death, that is. And I owe it all to God. HE used several people to rouse me from my year’s stupor and to break a year-long writer’s block. First there is my friend Noemi who introduced me to the world of blogging. Blogging has been very therapeutic in restoring my creative juices and getting them flowing once more. A month ago, this blog was recognized as one the Philippines Top 100 blogs and I look Continue reading about it here

This is really a big development in the research against AIDS and how to combat the dreaded diseases which man has been fighting for the last 25 years. The study according to the news item, suggests that medical treatment should now focus of the gut mucosa or the intestinal linings where “gut-associated lymphoid tissue accounts for 70 percent of the body’s immune system. Restoring its function is crucial to ridding the body of the virus.”
Since the study has found out that the AIDS virus stays or does most of it damage to the immune system via the intestinal linings, it now reinforces the notion that unsafe sex between homosexuals (anal sex) should be strongly avoided. Another small step towards the defeat of the AIDS disease in humans.
Six top fundraisers in the Blogathon have a total of 241 pledges amounting to $19,982.60 or more than 20 percent of the whole donation.
We should commend them for their tremendous efforts.
Do I need to see a shrink?
I’ve grown tired and unintrested in getting involved with the Ministry. Alam ko namang mangingialam ang mga manang at manong sa simbahan kaya magkakandaletse-letse na naman ang mga buhay at plano namin para sa mga kabataan ng aming parokya, kaya ayaw ko na muna.
I know that the elders would once more meddle in our affairs and screw up our plans so before it happens again I’m bolting out, I’m just simply tired of wrestling with the jurassic generation of church people in our parish, who refuse to wake up and realise that their time has ended and now it’s our turn to run things in the church. It’s the old refusing to give way to the new. Though I enjoyed this kind of struggle in the past, I seem to have lost interest in it for now. God help me. God help us the youth.
My 41 year old baby brother in Missouri (I still call him baby brother because I took care of him) wants me to be his wedding coordinator for a church wedding in the Philippines. My brother and his wife did not have a church wedding 14 years ago due to financial challenges.continue reading?
BLOGATHON 2006 is now complete again! Here are the first words of the past 13 posts:
BLOGATHON 2006 is now complete. Not bad for a first timer.
That is in my first 13 posts.
Overview:
Breast cancer is a malignant proliferation of epithelial cells linking the ducts or lobules of the breast. It is the most common cause of cancer in women, excluding skin cancer. It is a hormone-dependent disease so that women without functiong ovaries who never receive estrogen replacement do not develop breast cancer.
I have recently made a blog Filipino Health Issues and Problems which provides information on the common problems encountered by the Filipinos. As my first post, I researched on breast cancer. This is not common though in Asian women but I discussed it first because some women lack awareness about this disease. As an experience also, I just lost an aunt 1 year ago because of it.
Anyway, I hope you’ll like my site.

U.S. Expects a Zero Development of Fuel Cells in their Power Generation Forecast
